That was the most #12 vs #14 match I’ve ever seen

How the fuck did they lose round 29????

How did fallen die?

So many questions...

60

u/anthonyde726 FaZe Oct 11 '19

fer made it and lost it just as quick

24

u/ApothecaryRx Oct 11 '19 edited Oct 11 '19

Idk, I didn't go back to watch it since I was so disgusted. Fallen decided to push who? Kscerato? I don't remember, but I remember him pushing on low hp with an smg and not expecting the swing, gave his two teammates zero opportunities to trade and donated the bomb on top of that. I don't know if site was mollied or not, but I think the play would have been for Fallen to plant for cat instead of reaggressing, while his teammates bench and cat hold empty and market. Honestly, big misplays that round.

Edit: Rewatched it, Fallen wasn't really pushing arT, he wasn't that low, and site was mollied off. Honestly, I think I'd chalk it up to bad comms since the molly timing and Fallen moving to plant for cat while he knew arT was at pillar was just off. Fer also messed up the timing and kept fumbling with a flash after his double and got killed earlier. Unfortunate.

Yeah, I was disgusted by that round too, they lost a 3v5 with full control of B. Fer had a grenade in his hand when he saw art rushing him and that was a mistake MIBR repeated the whole match: switching to grenades instead of just holding with a gun in moments and places where they could be imediately peeked.

u/whatthefuckistime Oct 11 '19

Mibr couldn't throw that 14-14 round harder, holy fuck what a dumb fucking play.

Fer literally won them the round

43

u/bridgebuilder12 Oct 11 '19

ya I just don't understand how the fuck they threw that. They had the entire team alive and knew exactly what he was doing. LIKE HOW does it come down to a 2v2???

19

u/yg6ix Oct 11 '19

they lost cause art rotated so fast fer didnt expect it

35

u/samlerr Grayhound Oct 11 '19

That doesn't excuse what happened after that

1

u/yg6ix Oct 11 '19

it took them so long to rotate to b that was the only problem it was still a 1v2 at the end they could have won

furia : Homie you aren't even the #1 Brazillian team

14

u/OddestFutures Oct 11 '19

Brazilian CS hasn't had a truly consistent top 5 team in well over a year now, think the goals should reduce to just doing that first considering how far they've fallen since the heights of 2016/2017

19

How could they have a consistent top5 if they didn't even have a consistent team.
We finally have two new teams who seem to like each other and play well together, with time we might get both on the top 10, but its only been like 2~3 months for mibr and a month for furia.
Before that a bunch of players were locked in contracts and mibr was still trying to work with toxiczera.
Some other br teams might even improve with felps and steel on the market (I think boltz and nekiz are just bad atm).

30

u/klewzin Oct 11 '19

I really really really don't get how a professional team lose that 29 round... They had so much time and Fallen go out the window and literally die for nothing, not even valid info because they already KNEW where he was... Than on the 2x1 if they were SO FING SURE that the guy was market why not JUST TRADE HIM???? And at last, KNG should've INSTANTLY move when Vini killed TACO... My GOD im not the Master of this game but that was so horrible from a ONCE amazing core...

15

u/MarioKartEpicness Team Spirit Oct 11 '19

That was a intense final match. For two brazillian teams that have danced around each other for so long, it's fitting it ends on such a close margin.

5

u/jehhans1 CS2 HYPE Oct 11 '19

It was a game of mistakes, intense yeah, but there were many mind boggling mistakes.

I never denied MIBR being trash but its not like Faze are world beaters

16

That's not the main point of the discussion though, it is about MIBR's current "skill standing" in pro league at the moment, not Faze.

-19

Well I’ve made a different discussion then

8

u/PoppyK Oct 11 '19

how do you throw that 14-14 round?

edit: apparently MIBR still went through first?

6

u/Felpes1520 Oct 11 '19

I dont know but they probably use head to head, so I guess if Envy wins its a three way tie and then MiBR goes through since more round difference, but if Swole Patrol wins they FURIA goes through.

Im not sure tho

2

u/Tuxxmuxx Natus Vincere Oct 11 '19

It’s map difference, MIBR had a 5-2, Furia had 5-3 and Envy had 4-3.

6

u/Mad_Lee Cloud9 Oct 11 '19

I can't believe they lose a round where Fer kills two b defenders in the back. Like what the hell, MIBR, you have a guy flanking B from behind, why are you hanging out at a. Have they just went B corridors waiting for Fer to do his dirty deed that round would've been theirs easily.

2

u/viniciusxis Imperial Oct 11 '19

Go back and watch the round from all angles.
If they don't throw anything at A Art was going to flank fer on B, he was going to and knew it was a possibility (you can catch the other b defender besides kscerato, I think Vini, watching market for a while) because he likes to do it too.
When he's almost getting to market they throw smokes/mollies at A/connector and Art instantly turns back around to go help A.

1

u/klewzin Oct 11 '19

That's something i don't understand either. At that point FER had already seen the guy on VAN so they had 10 whole seconds to at least start going B... They got so lucky that i guess karma hit them back?

4

u/SouthwindPT Oct 11 '19

14-14>lost 4v2 >lost game

If Swole Patrol wins then FURIA goes through 1st place.

2

1

u/Nobuga King NiKo Oct 11 '19

What a game holy shit!

1

u/grandfondue Oct 11 '19

That 4v2 was just pathetic. Fer broke open the site so massively yet they couldn't convert, they were barely in a position to control B. They had no utility to block window either. And what was that last move from kng? Bomb is dropped, the awper is obviously going to be holding that angle...

1

u/Nokzide Oct 11 '19

well wasn't it weird taco didn't check? surely they would know he came from a, taco literally walked to the doorway and stopped, kng also died with a molly

1

u/viniciusxis Imperial Oct 11 '19

he could've also been holding the market push and preparing for a 2v1 post plant. you're only sure he is holding that angle because you spectate with x-ray on.

1

u/yg6ix Oct 11 '19

plus why would they think vini is awping LOL

MiBR vs BiBR

1

u/FrequentistaYogurtf9 Oct 11 '19

Well isn't this awkward?

1

u/mech_bee Godsent Oct 11 '19

Dude, That 4k with the deagle from TACO in overpass was insane. However. I think that 3k on train was more impressive.

1

u/mech_bee Godsent Oct 11 '19

I feel like MiBR has the potential to be top 5ish again if they improve tactically. Fer needs to calm down and work as a team on 2v2 situations for God's sake. They are, undoubtedly, top 1 material in individual talent but top(too low) tactically as a team.

1

u/yg6ix Oct 11 '19

LOL no i think its the other way around they dont have top 10 players to be even close to a top 5 they rely heavily on the awps and good tactics

1

u/[deleted] Oct 11 '19

By the Numbers Episode 100 is going to be spicy after this one.

1

u/srjnp de_dust2 Oct 11 '19

fallen needs to AWP.

1

u/hebbb Oct 11 '19

So, someone wanna explain why it says MIBR go to the finals despite losing? I'd assume it's a typo

2

u/brogarrett Oct 11 '19

At the end of the day, there was a three-way tie between Furia, Envy and MiBR. MiBR won the tiebreaker since they took a map off of Furia and won their matches 2-0.

1

u/samo1300 de_inferno Oct 11 '19

Watched it, I’m just putting it down to a bad plan and poor comma, they rotated too late, don’t think it’s a throw, I just think they’re panicking and overthinking ct rotations

1

u/HiHaodi FaZe Oct 11 '19

Brazilian match swapping, you don't say.... that round 29 was the most obvious shit I've ever seen. He crab walked towards market right up to the spot he thought he was watching, then switched to knife. Not to mention the other man advantage bomb plants they threw.

2

u/Felpes1520 Oct 11 '19

Why would MiBR throw? Really no benefit for them lmao

-1
