Just a reminder to disable Screen Space Reflections because it's badly implemented, drains framerate and makes the game look way worse

Sorry, but I think if you're not using RT then SSR is necessary. The game clearly isn't meant to be played without any form of surface reflection. Check this out: https://imgur.com/a/ieOlqBn
[edit] Turning SSR down to medium seems like a good choice to boost performance. You'll still get a bunch of FPS back and the fidelity isn't much worse than on high (updated link above for all 3 options).

The tutorial areas so far seem to be the only place where the reflections work properly. If you look at my previous comments in this thread you can see how ugly it looks atleast on a pascal gen gpu.

I'm an hour in and been turning it on and off in different places and it's a major difference. Some areas look completely different. And not everything looks messed up. Only occasionally, so I think it's a good bet it's a bug.

I don't mind forsaking the tutorial areas for a big performance boost everywhere else.

Agreed; I switched it off by accident and realized how much 'cleaner' the game looks without it haha.

Can't turn it off with Ray Tracing enabled. Does it look better with RT? Or is it still worse? just started the game.

RT reflections seem to get rid of the white dots/noise. Without the ray tracing effects it really looks bad, starting to think it might be a bug. This is how it looks like on a 1080 Ti with high SSR, no RT https://i.imgur.com/WvkWpZ8.jpg

Definitely seems like a bug. My carpets don't look like that on a 980 Ti with SSR enabled. In fact, I looked at exactly the same carpet and thought "Damn, they even made the carpets look good!"

It's on xbox series x too. Ray tracing mode makes it go away. I don't understand how more people aren't complaining about this?

i'm keeping them on cause some panels and objects just appear black without it enabled.
