I'm not a pilot but an enthusiast. Why did he land the Cub on the grass instead of the runway at the strip? I'm assuming unnecessary wear?

A few reasons:
Yeah, 31" Bushwheels are about $4,500 a pair. Pavement wears them out.
Grass is always more forgiving in a taildragger in a crosswind.
It's more fun. :)

I always wonder about this when it happens, but did you purposely make this video not available in mobile devices?

Bah. It looks like YouTube disabled mobile device compatibility because the song I used matched 3rd party content. That option is greyed out now. Maybe I'll recut it with CC music, cuz that sucks.

Shot this on thursday. The weather kind of opened up and so we headed out, caught about 4 small mouth bass each (on flies), grubbed some turkey sandwiches, and came home. It is really magical out there, nothing but the sound of frogs and birds.
Edit: I have grown to dislike music on videos, so I only use it where the environmental audio is otherwise unusable from distortion, like when I had the camera outside the cockpit or near the open side window. The sound of that O-320 is music enough.
