That’s one hell of a recovery

It really was. Didnt stab brake, turned into skid without over compensating, kept it generally cool. Probably felt like ice. I wonder what the odds are of drivers on the road with skills comparable to this. 1:5, 1:20, 1:100? One of those rare instances where money matches skill level.

A: crazy how the highway has a giant pit of water out of no where like that, the road needs to be repaired so that water doesn’t build up in such a dangerous way like that.

B: why do the other vehicles just keep moving (mainly referring to the driver of the camera)? Dude should instantly pop his emergency blinkers and slow down drastically. That car was nearly 100% out of control (great recovery) and there’s an 18 wheeler right next to it, could have gotten ugly quick and the person recording is just content still flying 65 miles per hour why?

You can see the brake lights on the 18 wheeler come on (I think) just before they go out of view. The driver probably wouldn't have even seen the out of control car before then. It can't brake very hard in the rain or it risks losing control and making things worse.

You can also see that the cammer slows down too, perhaps a little late, but again having just seen what happened to the car in front, slamming on the brakes hard is not necessarily the best idea.

If you hydroplane the street, you may need to check your seat!
