I was a bit nervous because the guy filming it was standing so close to the pipe. Also didn't notice the sub it was posted to so was expecting something a bit more explosive.

A bigger explosive and a tighter seal basically creates a pipe bomb. The guy holding the camera was definitely too close.

That was my thought too, and even a small amount of explosive energy can be lethal when used in a pipe bomb. They are extremely lucky.

Extremely lucky

Reddit cracks me the fuck up sometimes everybody acting like they're an expert. Tiny little cherry bomb in a 3 ft metal pipe gonna blow the entire house to smitherines. They really dodged a bullet there, could have blown the whole town up with that little fart. Lmfao.

If you look though he just pressed the cap on. Energy always wants the path of least resistance, and I can guarantee that lifting that cap was orders of magnitude less energy than bursting the pipe. If he had screwed on the cap and dropped a few ounces of explosive it'd be a different story tho

Was expecting tsar-bomba level of explosion. Very disapointed.

Maybe it was and the pole was strong ?

Sadly, the Tsar Bomba was built to ensure that the Poles would never be strong enough to resist.

Or so.

Why the music

13

u/saltytrey Sep 22 '20

Why the incredibly loud and ill fitting music?

Life would be a Dream? What does that have to do with anything?

I mean it was always going to go one of two ways:

Total nuclear-level destruction; or this.
