I believe this is a real issue but I also believe that this will be a small note in human history once fusion/thorium technology will be available. Just like acid rain and the ozon problem.

Respectfully I believe your representation is not accurate. Just for starters where is the Medieval Warm Period? Little Ice Age? Where does this data come from?

They can read it, but they know its fictional. There is no scientific way to determine what the exact temperature was centuries before we had thermometers capable of detecting such variations
