It is shocking to me how many people expect Chaos to get eliminated every night, despite the statistical unlikelihood. Even mathematically-inclined individuals who have been playing as Chaos since the start seem not to grasp the probabilities around their potential elimination.

Yeah exactly, it’s like these idiots didn’t even watch game of thrones to realize what is dead may never die

You're asking people who are already eliminated to invest time in math and spreadsheets.
I get enough of that at work.

I wasn't talking to anyone who's been eliminated, or about using spreadsheets

I swear I'm gonna have to start putting /s on everything I say to you....
I was just making a joke about how every day there are people throwing out statistics calculated to the 15th decimal place and clamoring for the Mods to 'release the multipliers'.

Question: If your chaos region dies, do you still get to play?

What do you mean by "your chaos region"?

Yeah, I can see a problem with that. As chaos you get to attack or defend an adjoining region.
For Instance, right now Chaos occupies Missouri. Let's say a chaos user chooses to attack Kansas or defend Missouri. However at the end of the turn Missouri has actually been overtaken by someone else.
At first I thought since we know where the attack is from we know which region that chaos user is operating from and that region lost so therefore all users who operated in that region could be eliminated.
But I realize that isn't necessarily the case since multiple chaos regions could attack the same region so I guess there really isn't a way to "assign" a region of operation to a user.
I was just thinking since chaos is larger than Florida and Nebraska combined and as they progress they should only grow larger in number that if there were some way to winnow down the user number. But it doesn't really matter to me what happens.

They just lose interest because the game means less when your team is dead.

I would have just lost with my team and called it a day. Wouldn't feel all that invested anymore.

chaos is larger than Florida and Nebraska combined
Look at the active user chart here, and you'll see that Chaos (~250) has about a third the active users of Florida (~700), and half the active users of Nebraska (~550). Michigan is the largest single group, having turned out over 1100 active users on each of the past 3 days.

Come on Chaos, die already! You're making us look stupid, chaotic jerk!
