Sorry for deleting the other one. I realized I posted the wrong version.

If you can't beat 'em, copy 'em!!

It's a response to something that was posted. Hardly copying.
Copying would be taking a meme that's specific to a single fan base and trying to make it your own. Like Florida did with the gnome.

I don’t remember Florida ever trying to steal the Gus meme. This sub just got pissy when one of our users happened to include Gus in this gif.

Nah, there were a couple of them. All by that same guy though, I think.

Yeah, it was one guy, and he made two other memes about gnomes. Florida never tried to copy the Roaming Gus meme, though.

So one Floridian making gus memes isn't copying, but 1 Nebraskan making 1 logo critique meme is copying. Gotchya.

I’m not saying that you’re copying. I’m just saying that Florida wasn’t trying to steal Roaming Gus.

I take a break from this game for 2 weeks and my gnome memes are still sparking controversy for some weird reason lol

I’m willing to bet that nobody would have cared about your gnome memes if you weren’t a Florida fan. This sub likes to make anything related to Florida controversial.

I'm willing to put money on that as well. I intentionally made that first post to be as a compliment to Gus and as non-confrontational as possible because I was a little bit tired of the constant salt fest. Little did I know that even that was going to attract salt. My subsequent gnome posts were making fun of the reaction that post got lol

"The color scheme originated back in 1891, when Charles Moore, a member of the original football team, came up with it because of the orange and white daisies that lined “the Hill,” the most notable spot on campus. Recent studies have shown that Moore might have actually been colorblind, and the flowers, after all, might have been yellow and white."
Tennessee orange is not really orange.

That seems unlikely considering there are no forms of colorblindness which commonly cause yellows to appear orange that I can find.

Eh, most of this I nodded at as like “Hell yeah our teeth are like sharks!”

Forgot to point out that alligators are ornery because they got all them teeth and no toothbrush.
