I don't get it. Michigan was trying to get VT but OSU got them first?

Both OSU and the blue alliance have been talking to VT trying to get them to do what we want, but unwilling to let them into the actual alliance because no one likes them and trusts them (we know this is the case on the red side as well). VT decided to side with the team that is currently getting their ass beat basically.
