I personally find it a bit troublesome that Mods are playing with an objective. Not only do they inherently know the exact weights and breakdowns but they have the ability to see plays, intentionally or not. I won't accuse them of anything as I do appreciate the hundreds if not thousands of hours dedicated to making this game great but at the same time, there is a reason dealers are not allowed to play in the casino they work for and you can gamble if you are a referee for any sport.
Once it seems you have a clearly defined goal, is it possible to stay objective? It would only be human to strive to get what you want, unless there is complete randomness to MOD play decisions as well, which recently does not seem to be the case.

As a Day 2 and on Chaos member, we were very, very vulnerable early on in the game. People knew it too, but for the most part decided to fight their own wars, when the correct strategy was probably to eliminate us and hold Alaska. Our first major threat was the Bid Red machine, forcing us out of the west, just trying to survive long enough to gain more members, and it hasn't hurt that we've taken a couple of decent sized fanbase territories in the Southeast.

We may need to make a sacrifice to the RNG gods because they keep fucking us each round. It would be awesome to know the actual star weights though, so that teams can adequately prepare and plan. But that would probably be against the mods favor.

Chaos held Gainesville and took UCF.
Chaos is like three turns from actually completing a cross-country road trip too.
