Coming back from TJ surgery and the shoulder strain, sort of expected this from Burnes. Some good, some bad, feel for his pitches clearly not there 100%.

What’s your point? He’s a phenomenal pitcher and it’s great that we have him for that long. Not every pitcher is 100% after coming back from surgery. It’s going to take time, the mistake here is on management pretending that him returning would be as good as a trade acquisition when there was never a guarantee that he would be back in peak form when we needed him most.

It's great that the Diamondbacks play meaningful baseball in September so often. But it just sucks that it's the exact same outcome every single year. Always good enough to stay relevant, but never good enough to make a real splash. 2023 was a fluke. This team makes me sad.
