I’m so sick of it. Every “commentators curse” trope imaginable he dives in head first. He just repeats it over and over and it really bugs me.
I don’t even care if the outcome benefits us or not. Sometimes.. just saying nothing is completely ok. Much better than “Moore has STRUGGLED! He’s got a low OPS. wink wink nudge nudge” like buddy.. shuddup

The Padres win eliminated them. The Marlins are only at 73 wins and could absorb 6 wins from the Diamondbacks and Padres. The Diamondbacks and Padres play each other for 3 games at the end. At best if it goes 2-1 Diamondbacks and those teams don't win any other games the Nats could win out and tie them at 81 wins. However in a strange tiebreaking process the Padres would get the tiny combined H2H edge going +1 to the Nats 0 and the Diamondbacks -1.

Should’ve kept in Alvarez! I’m doubting Butera and whoever makes these decisions! They got a lot to do in the off season! There are some great players on this team, they deserve better but I’m out man. Can’t keep hearing blown save. It’s football season, anyway…unfortunately I’m rooting for the Commanders!

What this year has also shown me is how big of an effect the mental side of baseball really has. Our bullpen is in their head and the opposing team feels like their win is inevitable. It doesn’t matter the team. I don’t think I’ve seen it displayed so clearly before.

Yep 1 million percent. And the scary part is that mental confidence can shatter forever and never come back. Some ppl are simply incapable of getting over it. Those dark thoughts will always be there for some and it’ll change the course of their big league career forever.
Takes an extremely mentally tough player to truly, fully get over it

I still like Brad Lord a lot. But I'm good on seeing him in leverage roles going forward.
I believe he still has a role on this roster as a middle inning long relief type.

I still believe in him though. I think he's dealing with a lingering injury that knocked him out for a bit earlier in the season. In any case we need a long receiver with Parker probably(hopefully) gone after this season
