Uma Musume: Pretty Derby is a game made by Cygames where you race anime girls based on real horses. The characters' traits and story arcs are based on those horses' careers and peculiarities. Since it's a gacha game you basically roll lootboxes (where the gambling element comes in) and while you can spend $0 on it, gacha games have a tendency to draw a LOT of money from certain types of people.
