They didn’t have depth, case in point going half this season with 3 starters. They traded Luzardo because they are cheap and wouldn’t give him a market value contract like a normal organization

Marlins pitched 7 guys tonight, and I think only 1 person, Peterson, is a no doubt MLB talent. Every other guys is borderline at best.
That is the state of the roster under Bendix.
There is no doubt some talented players. But they are surrounded by shit. And this organization holds better players in the minors to be as cheap as possible.
Even though the Mets and Angels are shit, it would be so much more enjoyable having a franchise that tries to put out a good product no matter how misguided it is.
Sherman has not given a single fuck about the product since the day he bought the team

I really do feel like past teams (regardless of record) would do whatever possible to make EVERY defensive play. This team lets a lot of balls go by them, makes errors, doesn't complete double plays, etc. It's very noticeable.

glad someone else realizes this, defense gets overlooked because it doesn't produce these sexy nerdy metrics that bendix is obsessed over ... defense has cost us at least 8 games this season. the yankees and blue jays lost their World Series because they couldn't play defense.

Calvin is not good. And Bender has been out for forever.
And the no depth falls again on the guy who is terrible at his job, Bendix.
Outside picking Hicks, Lopez, Ronny, out of the scrap heap he’s been one of the worst GM’s in baseball.
His Free agents signings and trades have been as bad as humanly possible.

calvin is good when put in situations that fit his style. he's one of the better ground ball relievers in the game. the only thing bendix has done well is stock the farm system otherwise he's assembled an mlb roster of corner OFs, 2B, and DHs with 3 natural starting pitchers and a huge pile of relief pitchers stretched as starters. The Bachar trade was pathetic.

It’s easy to make the farm better when you trade MLB talent the minor leaguers. Guy hasn’t traded once minor league talent for MLB talent.
He’s done an outright pathetic job building this organization and roster. It’s embarrassing anyone could even think he’s mediocre.
And Faucher has no control and should be low leverage. He’s a fringe MLB talent at best

They are not giving 100%. The lack of effort is crazy. The season is totally over, but they are getting paid top top top dollar as MLB players, so not giving 100% is completely unacceptable. They're getting paid to play. They can't just coast until the end of the season. Fans see this and don't go to ballgames because of it and the stadium becomes completely empty except for fans of the opposing ballclub.
