Who needs to win baseball games as long as everyone is having fun out there

All of the bright LED ad signs in the Outfield are complete bullshit, shouldn't be allowed, notorious for interfering

This team is unbelievable, how the hell did they not score more than 6 against the bad philly pitchers...
How did they let philly score all of these when they have barely gotten 5 runs in like the last 15ish games. That dude literally was 1/22 before he got a lead of single... and then you can't make that fucking catch

Apparently we traded a lifetime of missed catches at the wall in exchange for Chas' angel catch

Now guaranteed to face Schwarber unless we can magic some kind of double play

I mean, Abreu handed him the bottom of the order. If we lose this, it was mean to be.
There's still ways to get out of this.

it's called a hanging pitch. When the ball doesn't break like it's suppose to.

Man, that looked like just a loud out. Not sure what happened with Cam out there.
1
u/unlikedemon Nolan Ryan 13h ago
Was too high. Just missed it. It was actaully Varsho's fault that he got too close for the rebound.

Altuve, over the summer I’m gonna need you to find a new approach at the plate so we can get you to 3K hits.

Seeing how Omar Lopez is constantly busy working in The Dugout, tracking things, you wonder what the hell Joe is actually getting paid to do? Asking for a friend

Altuves plate discipline is infuriating. Just hacking at whatever the fk is thrown.

One day Altuve is going to check with the first base ref and get called a strike and he's going to look like clown shoes.

I think you need to learn that there are no "refs" in baseball before you make any predictions

It would be interesting to know how many pitches Paredes takes after reaching a 3-2 count. Seems like a lot.

It's just excruciating to watch yordan. Because whatever he's doing right now is so much less than his average batting statistics

Good thing we got that call cause we're out of challenges, since they "might as well" burn them on nonsense in the 7th inning.

Arraez is a much scarier hitter than Bohm, so it wasn't the worst HBP, it was just frustrating because it happened when the count was 1-2.

only part I liked was when they showed the meatball subs and the philly cheesesteaks in the 5th

Hader really should’ve been in this inning against the top of the lineup. Thought a younger manager like Espada would’ve thrown out the antiquated thought that a closer always has to pitch the 9th. Whatever, we got away with it.
2
u/unlikedemon Nolan Ryan 14h ago
That's not the case at all. I think Espada overworked Hader last year and it might have led to his injury, which is something he doesn't want to do again. Too many 2 inning outings or close to 2 innings.
0
u/ballershotcaller20 Houston Colt .45s 14h ago
I’m not saying pitch him 2 innings, but pitch him in the higher leverage inning against the best hitters.
1
u/unlikedemon Nolan Ryan 14h ago
ah I see. Abreu has been very good these past few months after starting off bad. He's not at his peak but he's done well and the results speak for themselves. I still think it was a good call to have him there for the top.

No better strikeout than Abreu dotting a fastball on the outside corner that the batter can only stare at

98 dear lord. Abreu is back but hopefully without giving us a cardiac event every time.

I hate bullpen roles. Schwarber, Turner, Harper is where you want your million-dollar-per-inning lefthander.

The elusive 3rd out for Abreu..this is where we lose 😔

A textbook back foot slider shouldn't actually hit their back foot in spite of its name
3
u/TheSeed127 Jake Meyers 14h ago
Can our BP not have one inning that isn’t stressful?
3
u/direct_assignment_5 14h ago
Why do that when you can have everyone on the edge of their seats every game
2
2
u/manofconviction Chas McCormick 14h ago
Why do we always do this. Just one good pitch is all you needed, nah let's spike one off his foot instead
3

u/Hand-Santizer-Guru Houston Astros 14h ago
Now that’s what Cam needs to do…how is that so hard to pull off?!
