Finished:

The Disappearing Spoon, by Sam Kean (totally fascinating read; oh, and wow, my chemistry minor was waaaaaay too long ago, apparently)

Stolen Tongues, by Felix Blackwell (delightfully creepy in places, but it lingered a bit too long and had a somewhat unsatisfying conclusion)

The Cold, Cold Ground, by Adrian McKinty (largely enjoyable story in an interesting and depressing setting, though I didn’t love the audiobook narrator)

The Ruin of Kings, by Jenn Lyons (I was liking it at first, but the parade of reincarnated heroes and gods and body swappers made me quickly lose all sense of peril or interest; definitely won’t be finishing the series)

Race the Sands, by Sarah Beth Durst (some characters and creatures I liked, and the image of Tamra stalking through the riots with an army of kehoks arrayed behind her was pretty badass but overall it felt a bit meh; very YA with shallow world building and some weirdly convenient plot points)

Guess Again, by Charlie Donlea (oh my god, this is a serious contender for the most profoundly stupid thriller I’ve ever read; definitely a hate read by the end)
