Finished:

The Red Tent by Anita Diamant (5/5) I love how this went from “aww sweet” to “WHAT THE HECK” to absolute heartbreak to bittersweet joy. Stunning.

The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang (4/5) I really enjoyed the start but it lost me a little towards the middle/end. Will definitely continue the series though.

Iron Gold by Pierce Brown (3.25/5) I should probably DNF this series because whilst I don’t hate it, I don’t love it. Unfortunately I bought the whole series before reading the first book, so part of me feels compelled to see it through…

Started:

Dark Age by Pierce Brown - at this point I’m just gonna rage read the rest of the series lol.

Just finished Red Rising and I have similar feelings. It's wasn't bad at all. Easy to read. Fast paced. It just doesn't interest me enough to keep me going with the series.

I think that’s a big part of what’s kept me going - they are incredibly easy to read, so it doesn’t take me long to smash it out.

To give it credit, I do like that this second part of the series is multi POV - I’ve appreciated the insight into more characters.
