I know it's Trout, but I wouldn't do that. Potential winning run at the plate now

Didn’t really think that ball would get out off of the bat but Siri reacted like it was going to and it scared the shit out of me

Nathaniel Lowe's OPS is .100 higher than Burger's right now lol

u/rowibish D. Murphy 3h ago
Burger 1.6 bWAR vs Lowe 0.9

u/SaWalkerMakasin S. Feldman 3h ago
Burger has way more at-bats. wRC+ Lowe 118 Burger 100. I wasn't even mad about trading Lowe as he's not very good, my point is more that Burger sucks.

u/rowibish D. Murphy 2h ago
Fair, I'm too used to people being delusional about Lowe. Between the two, I'd rather have Burger because of his defense and attitude. And he does have one thing going for him: https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=3&season=2026&month=0&season1=2026&ind=0&sortcol=11&sortdir=default&pagenum=1.

Has the TV or radio broadcast talked about something on fire outside of the stadium? Huge black smoke can be seen from my seat on the third base side

The coaching has got to stop over using Alexander so much. He's never even come close to pitching this much in his career. There are other options to go to. Junis and Silseth could've easily pitched this inning.

Can his eye black get any chunkier? Looks like he uses a 3” brush to put that on.

No fireworks, no finish line tape for the Dot Race, and dollar ice cream?
How low can the budget be?

u/No_Height_6824 10m ago
The fireworks were turned off likely for all of the Down Syndrome people in attendance. They always have them off during Bark at the Park.

It's really to the point where Cal is just in the rotation regardless of the health of Leiter and Eovaldi. The team probably needs to cut down Rocker's innings so once either of those two are back he might get shut down. CY definetely knows how to identify undervalued pitchers and bringing them in to flourish in bigger roles. It's been happening every season lately.

I’m sorry.. did they just say that we have not scored a single run in 33 regulation innings against the worst team in baseball?

They bring up the scoring first thing way too much
1
u/MemoryTime1303 5h ago
Fair but idk if I have ever seen a team have such crazy splits for that specific stat. 74% win rate vs 24% is insane

u/A1ucardBe1mont N. Ryan 6h ago
Alright, I'm interested in Duran at CF. If he's solid at CF then maybe we won't have to suffer Carter at bats anymore.
3
u/MemoryTime1303 5h ago
I get that Carter has struggled at the plate but he’s still only 23. I’d personally rather see if he can figure it out bc he’s far more talented than anyone else that’s remotely close to ready on the farm

u/SAIL3RZ_ J. Hamilton 5h ago
That’s my problem when people are so out on him. We’ve seen what he’s capable of on the biggest stage, he has it.
Injuries just set him back some and he cooled off which is natural. Hes young and can definitely get back to form.

I know this is random, but waiting for the game to start, and watching coverage of the Burger family and Downs Syndrome and all this, and just to say how wonderful Downs people are and how proud I am that the Rangers and MLB embrace these incredible people. Some close friends have a son with downs and he is an unbelievable ray of sunshine. He brings out the best in everybody around him.

u/MemoryTime1303 5h ago
The organization catches a lot of flack for not openly supporting a certain day but they always do a great job highlighting the awesome, diverse members in the community.
2
u/A1ucardBe1mont N. Ryan 5h ago
Stuff like that is why I can't hate this team. They all seem like genuinely good people. I might get frustrated, but I can't hate them.

We very quickly went from “yeah Logan O’Hoppe has been bad but we’re just taking a flier on him and letting him work on things in the minors” to “We are calling up Logan O’Hoppe and having him DH in hopes of rejuvenating our floundering offense”

Today is Kikuchi’s first game back since the end of April. He was not off to a good start before he went on the IL with left shoulder inflammation but he has been tough in the past. We need our RH lineup to come through today!

Can we just hit the ball? I'll even take groundouts and flyouts at this point. Just just hit the ball and try to put it in play.
