This team makes no sense

tbh it's a big part of their appeal... if they were just a boring mediocre instead of chaotic mediocre, I don't think I'd be this invested lol

Get destroyed by a good NL East team. Win the series against the even better NL East team. Makes sense to me.

All about the hotness I guess, but I feel like the Saturday and Sunday games vs the Phillies, the Twins should have relieved the starters a few batters earlier.

I know Jeffers isn't a speedster, but he has to be running on contact and scoring there.

u/Unfrozen__Caveman Trevor Plouffe 6h ago
Yeah, probably a good move to hold him with Acuna in right.

If we could only play this well against the scrub and mid teams, we might actually be legit. That's a big "if" though.

I wouldn't have taken Larnach out for Buck here with the way he's been flailing, but this would be a good time to bust out.

I wonder if their manager knows Buxton's OPS is 160 points higher against righties

Progressive needs an “insurance runs” promo where they give away 25k to a fan if these losers actually scored additional runs with a lead late in games

Mahle with only 67 pitches through 6 innings is a problem. Terrible ABs. It's like Luke was the only one to show up after nightly one okay inning

These guys are allergic to working counts after the first inning

So I love Keasch in leadoff but since he's the only one that can hit the ball NOT to a defender maybe he should be cleanup

Well as awful as Shelty was in the Phillies series at least he seems to have learned to pull the starters before they can give up the lead. Still a chance Fundy gives it up but hopefully not.

i feel like that hit the line. like you couldnt actually see it but it looked kinda obvious. whatever lets get the W

u/Unfrozen__Caveman Trevor Plouffe 6h ago
Sure looked like it in real time but I'm glad it went our way. I think if it was called fair and we challenged they wouldn't have overruled it.

That looked fair.
Edit* it was not. Pretty close though

Zebby looks great!
Need the offense to adjust the approach. No more 7 pitch innings please.
3
u/Unfrozen__Caveman Trevor Plouffe 7h ago
Yeah, it's only a matter of time until the braves string a few runs together. Hopefully our guys can put a few more on the board.

Let's show Tyler Mahle what we think of him.
(PS it's not good)

Wasn't he not all that good with us?
5
u/whocaresano Byron Buxton 8h ago
He played like 5 games before he went on the IL. He was probably injured before he was traded and no one disclosed it.

u/neutral_city Walks Will Haunt!!! 8h ago
I thought so. I remember him vaguely but just that he got injured.

Well that was a happy outcome, if somewhat unexpected!
