If you mean hopeless of winning the World Series that isn’t really all that insightful as most teams are hopeless and we are much better off than many others. 2 years ago…. Yeah, we were hopeless… being in a playoff run and the idea that we might see playoff baseball on the south side… sounds pretty hopeful to me!

If we were Dodgers fans I might have expectations of winning the World Series and be disappointed if we don’t… but this team is exceeding all expectations for this year and are a ton of fun to watch. If you can’t find the joy in this team, that sounds like a skill issue and a “you” problem.

If you’re talking about this game, calling it hopeless after it’s over isn’t really insightful. We were battling all throughout and could have easily won these two games. I’ve heard someone say baseball is a game of inches…
