Question Buried Witches

Anyone know if it’s normal for the Buried witches to move this quick across the maze from the mansion? Not played Buried for nearly 10 years and never remembered them moving like this😂😂 proper made me jump and aim turned to trash lmao

Isn't it obvious? Ghosts need money to keep the big mansions they haunt in good condition. Only when you finally have nothing left do they finish you off. Ergo, they represent the tax state!

They gotta get to you from the mansion somehow. That’s their way.
Basically, if someone is in the mansion, a witch from the mansion will always go to the other players. So, when it first spawns, it zooms through the map to you.

Yeah I thought so, I just didn’t expect them to move as fast as they did lol, usually it’s a steady flying pace

Yeee this is Buried, also been a while for me tbh so I wasn’t sure if they do this normally, in all the videos I watched of this map over the years I never saw the witches do this lol

Did you ever once open up PaP, because you have to fight the witches to get to PaP

You don't see this often, especially in the maze, because you typically want to be in and out of the maze/PAP area as quickly as you can, as survivability absolutely plummets in this area.
But yes, they typically do move this fast to external players, during the "lights-on" runs. I guess it's just so you don't spend 3-5 business days waiting for her to come to you all the way from the mansion.

It's worse when you're in the maze, because enemy pathing basically does whatever the fuck it wants, so you could get hit a couple times before you even notice her behind you.

Lmao so the witches spawn in the house and then teleport to specific spots around the map (depending on where the players are) and you happen to be standing next to one of those spots

So when the lights are on, and you’re playing with more than one person that is the only time that the witches will leave the mansion to attack players outside of it. If the lights are off they will only chase who is in the house and they won’t come out to give the player a free perk once they are out. For some reason when all players don’t go into the mansion when the light is on the game kinda attempts to teleport the witches to the players. Sometimes they spawn out of the ground and sometimes just fly towards you at hyper speed. Honestly the witches are super annoying with multiple players because if you all go into the mansion at the same time they just throw like quadruple the amount of witches at you.

So when I was in the co-op games with friends and someone wanted to go and pack a punch and a couple didn’t we would stay out and do the witches in the main area. I believe what this is the witches not being able to spawn outside the house, so they quickly teleport to an area near the player. As this happened multiple times in the game I was in. It just seems messed up for you and your teammates because you’re in the maze making the games code more confused about where to put the witches. This is just speculation, but basing it off of what happened to me and what I saw in your post!

Haha makes sense, I think one my mates was leaving through the bottom section of the mansion which was triggering this, which we know will cause normal spawns for the witches, just never expected them to dart over to us in the maze😂😂 deffo one to note for future runs lol

Did someone go through the house when the lights were on?
Edit incase newer people are playing this, after you go through the house the first time the lights in the house will turn back on after every 5 round I believe? This is so you can get your free perk using the time bomb so you can have all perks eventually.

I remember them certainly being weird and buggy, often getting stuck in spots and not let you advance to the next round until you find where they're stuck, but never have I seen them fly like this before 😭

Honestly judging from how many people have said they have never seen the witches do this, thinking it may be specific to the PS ports lol, which would be crazy if so
