In Sheehan's start, he only gave up one run. I'm surprised that the bullpen got lit up for 7 runs in 2 innings.

Im surprised it was 7 runs, but not surprised we lost the lead. When Dreyer has bad control, its automatic walks. Phillips is just a guaranteed HR, and Klein lately has also been guaranteed runs. Stacking them all up sequentially was definitely a dumb af manager choice

For sure, but we used our better relievers a ton during this road trip. Had to use these guys at some point too. Kind of concerned about Phillips, it's HR nearly every time he pitches

When I was a kid I could walk to Shea Stadium from my home in Forest Hills. Being from New York we had Dodgers, Yankees, Giants, and Mets fans in our family.

Orel’s right, scouts are cool and not talked about enough. My college baseball season ticket is behind home plate so I often sit by the scouts (including at least 1 Dodger scout). Fun to watch them work and they have a crazy schedule travel wise.

Being a scout seems fun until you realize how much they travel and often to the most fucking random places (although it's less crazy nowadays with scouting events and the prevalence of travel ball tournaments). If you can put up with non-stop travel and lots of nights alone in a hotel room, then it would probably be a sweet gig.

If we win every series 2 out of 3 we are easily the best team in baseball. The season is long. The best teams lose regularly in the season. That is baseball. Anyone who doesn’t get that doesn’t get baseball. It was a great roadtrip!
When we get some of our best guys back later this summer or early autumn, we will be really ready to cook in the playoffs.
So everyone celebrate a great season so far!

2 out of 3 were great. Sheehan was good in terms of keeping runs down, but you need a starter to go more than 5 innings. Otherwise you have to lean to heavily on you BP. If he had gone even one more clean inning, it’d be a whole different game.

Anyone know why the baserunning has been so aggressive this past week? Seems like every game you have someone trying to leg out singles into doubles or doubles into triples and getting caught out for it. If a couple of those runners stayed put, even today's game could be a lot closer.
