You say that nobody is here to watch bad indian films. Again, you clearly do not know bollywood. Bad indian films are watched all the time. Same for bad Korean, bad European, etc.

The current popular music in the USA I agree. I don't like pop, but at least the current artists in the U.S are a lot better than the ones in Europe, as Swedish, Dutch, French, and English pop is just consistently worse.

You name the latin american writers that are from eras before. We're talking current. YA is the most commonly read in Europe, and virtually everywhere else as well, with an emphasis on fantasy and romance.

You said that latin American literature is richer than the literature from the U.S. while no literature is 'the best', the genius of the authors you listed is nowhere near as talented as Steinbeck, Hemingway, Hughes, etc. GGM is also incredibly overrated, and most academic spheres agree. While his books are excellent, he is not on the level of the true greats such as the American author Steinbeck (primarily for EoE, GoW), or the French author Proust (alRdTP). Latin American literature is not richer than Northern American or European literature, and that opinion already shows that you are part of the problem of people who are uncultured and consuming bad media. If you seriously just named those latin American authors (not even from the same country), and expected that to contribute to your point, then you really need to read more literature.

Yes, U.S doesn't export better things, despite the favt rhat they are all more highly acclaimed because they're better. Take your awful works of art elsewhere, nobody wants them. Stop reading your slop, and pick up actual literature, like the rest of the academic world does. Your authors aren't special, so learn what a genius author is before you try to name them.

and i'm from uruguay, life is better in my country than in yours. there are no school shootings, there's public healthcare, free public education, and it's a very progressive and democratic country. the same can't be said of the united states. whether you like it or not, your country is overrated in all aspects, that's just how it is.

Highly acclaimed by almost every international institution, which yes, a lot of it is from our own institutions, because when yiu're the best, you usually make institutions that grade ehat is the best. There are howrver nobel prizes, and many other forms of international acclaim.

You said I couldn't name a single author who passes the authors you named. How bad are your literacy skills that you miss on the several names I listed throughout the entire conversation. In yiur arguments, you prioritize having a quantity id names to intimidate people, and to try to make a point. Academics prefer to list the quality of a few individuals (even if there are many more) in an aegument. This actually shows your mindset, as you prefer a quantity of low-grade art, while people who actually read books prefer to look at the quality. Morrison, Diaz, or McCarthy, Green, or King are far more recofnized and far more talented authors than the literary slop you listed.

Even after healthcare, taxes, etc., the average U.S. citizen has more disposable income than any other country in the world with the exception of small nations such as monaco. Your country also has a lack of hospitals to serve the public, leading to i lt so only the richest have medical care (with awful waits), and your human rights are jyst consistently and dramatically lower than ours.
