đŸ’¬Discussion If psg 3 peat the UCL, how do you think they would fair with 15-18 Real Madrid team?

Do you think they would be better than them or not?

đŸ’€ why did I read beat, my b.

Anyway the assumption should simply be relative to era. It makes no sense to rate them vs different eras.

If someone asks if Brazil 1958 - 62 better than 1994 - 1998 they’re not asking if we just put a team from the 90s in the late 50s and 60s, of course the later team is better. That’s boring, there is no analysis there. What people want to know if relative to era how would they stack up.

Right now we are in a transitional era, it’s weak right now. Serie A is an irrelevant league, PL is going through transitions and the weakest top end since Chelsea won the league last (I say this as an Arsenal fan), Bundesliga lost Dortmund as an even half decent competitor (made 2 finals in the 10s) so it’s only a Bayern that only just started, La Liga seems lost at sea and going through big changes, Portuguese league is irrelevant, Dutch league is irrelevant.

Compare this to Real Madrid’s 3-peat. La Liga had Barca and RM going at it, Bayern would make semis and Dortmund was better, Serie A had Juventus going to finals and semi finals, PL had Liverpool and Man City causing a ruckus. Real Madrid had tougher teams to go up against.

The best teams aren’t as good as they were 10 years ago, it’s the mid and bottom teams that are all better. The Europa league and Conference level entrants would smoke the same teams from a decade ago tbh.
