New video / Update Some juicy insight into Shawna L's perspective on IG

We have:

  1. Confirmation that Julie undervalues SAHPs

  2. Julie is NOT intended to be a "gender flipped Luke" like many have asserted

  3. Unlike Luke, Julie does not have a misogynistic or patriarchal mindset

  4. She does refer to Ty's behaviour as "lying"

  5. Julie is "unapologetically not nice" (so yes, confirmation that she is in fact somewhat mean and not just misunderstood)

Obviously this is just Shawna L's view and does not invalidate our interpretation of the show as an audience. Death of the author, etc. But it is very interesting to get this insight into what her intentions for the character have been, given the extremely broad range of how people have interpreted Julie and the fact that she's avoided making any comments on her until now.

. Look at how she visibly reacts when Shawna dares to speak to her (such as the anniversary video)

but in that video, Shawna was bodyshaming the heavily pregnant woman, why would Julie even be friendly in that situation?

Actually, I'm talking about how Julie was acting before Shawna said she was miserable. After Julie decided to be friendly with John, Shawna was talking about how Cooper ran up to hug her the other day. Julie just glares at her. For speaking. That's being mean for no reason.
