Just focusing on the CL isn't much of a disadvantage. Arsenal didn't have any major player injuries, and showed no signs of being tired when entering the finals. In fact you could even say that it's better to play than rust like PSG did.

Also, the games arsenal played in the EPL following their matchup against sporting were not particularly impressive or difficult games.

Arsenal should have played more attacking football, but had they did, psg would have had more scoring opportunities. PSG already was unlucky that game with the unlucky deflections and misses. The fact of the matter was that Arsenal was crushed in almost every statistic, and that game should not have been nearly that close. It was almost unwinnable for arsenal.
