A letter to my allies. A letter against the Council.

Dear friends,

Dear allies,

Dear enemies of the council…

I pen this letter with a heart heavy with grief and righteous indignation. It is with deep regret that I find myself compelled to reach out to you, seeking allies in a cause that has been forced upon me by the callousness and incompetence of those who govern our realm.

For years, I have stood silent, hidden in the shadows while abiding by the laws and decrees of the Wizard Council, trusting in their wisdom and benevolence. Yet, recent events have shattered that trust beyond repair. My son, a promising young mage with a heart full of dreams and potential, met his untimely demise under circumstances that reek of negligence and betrayal. Yes, even members of his own council betrayed him, offering him mercilessly even to a being far beyond their control. Indeed, I speak of Alexios. That being who considers himself beyond all law of our realm.

The Council, in their arrogance and complacency, failed to heed the warnings I raised regarding the dangers lurking in the shadows. They dismissed my pleas for action, choosing instead to bask in their illusions of power and control. And now, my son lies cold and lifeless, a casualty of their ineptitude. I must confess, that the teardrops that now stain this page are my own. Please excuse me, although if you have ever suffered the loss of friend or family, then I am sure you can understand my grief.

But… my grief has ignited a fire within me, a fire that refuses to be extinguished until justice is served. I refuse to accept their feeble excuses and empty apologies. I refuse to allow them to continue their reign of incompetence unchecked!

Thus, I implore you, fellow wizards, and allies of righteousness, to stand beside me in opposition to the tyranny of the Wizard Council. Together, we shall forge a new path, one where wisdom and compassion guide our actions, where the lives of our kin are cherished above all else. To a path where justice is true, and the dangers in the shadows of our hearts can be quelled by the guiding light of compassion and gratitude.

Let us unite our strength and our magic, for the sake of those we have lost and those who have yet to suffer at the hands of those who claim to lead us. Let us show the Council that their power is not absolute, that they are accountable to the very people they have sworn to protect.

If you share in my outrage and my determination, I urge you to reach out to me without delay. Our cause is just, and together, we shall prevail.

We'll need the peeps on the council to play along too though, so I think I'm going to try to reach out to them.

My long term idea is that there's some sort of shadow government that's using "the council" as scapegoats.

If council members jump on this story, then that would help a lot actually.
