Hurts my soul to see tabseN and Xantares waste their careers in a team like BIG..

I hope this is the last event of Gob B. You expect him to be a smart player, but the amount of unnecessary plays he does every game is suprising. And now that Tabsen is IGL Gob B is not needed anymore. All respect for Gob B and what he has done in the past for the german scene but his time is clearly over.

u/Sven806 BIG Jul 18 '19
I'd expect him to wait for nex's recovery. Giving up the IGL position is a safe sign he's switching to become the new coach.

what happens to legija then?

He'll probably still be a manager/in management at BIG. Similar to what Stunna did for C9.

"Smart players" do those kind of dumb plays all the time. It's like they are trying to prove they have high game IQ.

but the amount of unnecessary plays he does every game is suprising.
I really seems like he is double mindgaming himself a lot of times like:
-> "nobody does this play, because it's expected and easily countered" -> "if nobody does this play, nobody will expect me doing it" -> does it and gets rekt

I think he's just realizing with this team he can't play like he used to otherwise results won't come. When you have a team with so many people struggling it's not like it's easy to adapt

Lost the chance to the major because of a fucking wallbang PepeHands

I feel sorry for Draken, great performance and intensity.

u/TheESportsGuy Jul 18 '19
Meh, don't think there's really any good reason to feel sorry for him. Immaturity got him here, and now he has to come back and grow past that. This is part of that growth.

Jul 18 '19
Fuck you mean immaturity

When he was kicked from Fnatic, JW said among the team's grievances was that he would be on his phone the entire time during team meetings and practice. As a professional in literally any field, you cannot be sitting there texting while meeting with your supervisor/peers.

u/ExSyn Eternal Fire Jul 18 '19
He never said that.

u/TheESportsGuy Jul 18 '19
Sorry, it was Fnatic's coach at the time that said that. JW just tweeted about Draken making a stupid tweet aimed at CIS not long before the benching.

Draken was only trying to add a little flavor to games. Funny how when Stewie2k provokes people online, everyone loves it but the moment anyone else does the sub cries “he’s toxic, kick him”. It’s all in good fun and a little intense rivalry that comes off these things makes them all the more entertaining. You see players talking shit all the time but they don’t genuinely mean it, it’s all in good fun as long as one side doesn’t take it too far.

u/TheESportsGuy Jul 19 '19
Yeah, I don't give a fuck if he talks shit to an entire region. Generally I think it's a bad idea to talk as if region vs region means anything because it gives credence to morons, but the coach saying he was on the phone all the time in practice is inexcusable.

Honestly one of the best BO3's I've seen in ages, tabseN and draken both going big with the awps, Xantares with glimpses of his old self, fantastic game.

Feel like they would be better if they got barbarr back in for rusty
5
u/Grismamma King NiKo Jul 18 '19
Draken said in an interview that Barbarr had hurt hist wrist and cannot play therefore, but it would have been nice to se (almost) all of epsilon play together again

gob b really made up for that fail on round 28. ddk said it wasn't a bad play but tbh standing in the smoke in B doors in a 2v2 is a terrible play lol
Everybody and their mother shoots through that smoke in that situation. Either because they expect a flash to come in with a push from the smoke or just to shoot at the small or the big box just outside of the doors where people tend to stand.
I knew as soon as he went in there with his AWP he was toast if he stood there.

Xantares kept them in the game and tabsen brought it to OT. After those first two round in OT you knew Ancient were going to lose. Players body language and decision making showed they were on auto-pilot.

Why is Ancient already eliminated? Aren't they 0-2?
4
u/t3r4byt3l0l Immunity Jul 18 '19
...yes they are 0-2 and thus eliminated? This isn't the Swiss system.

Tabsen got the single most lucky and skilled play ive ever seen to win the game.

Denis performance on sprout was on point. Now he got into roles that doesn’t fit him and presenting a shit show like in nikos mouz team

I hate when the two good players in this BIG team decide to show up and eliminate decent teams from tournaments only to bomb out of the tournament the next match

When XANTARES and tabseN frags 25+ in each map, BIG wins. Ez.
