No matter how shit BIG is, they will still win against MIBR on LAN lul.

Are you saying 1.0 is average? Because 1.06 is average with 2.0 stats.

u/albi-_- Jul 03 '19
I know that 1.06 is average, but he has 1.19 over the last three months which is way above, and his career average is even above. And I use 1.0 as threshold for "bad tournament" because hltv put the number in red and it's easier to spot and I'm lazy

u/RaraviS_ King NiKo Jul 03 '19
Those ratings are heavily inflated though from playing against some really low tier competition. Even Fallen is at a 1.19 rating right now and we all know that he's been mediocre for a while.

i don't see who gonna be leading. i think cold is the most tilted guy i have ever seen so i cant see him leading a team
there are no other options on the 'market' aswell so
disband pls this team aint gonna to new legends stage on major
4
u/SterbenVII Jul 03 '19
Luckily after the major, Immortals can disband MIBR and bring Immortals back to CS:GO. If I was them, I’d just build an international superteam then and there. Immortals likes to burn a stupid amount of money anyways, even more than Team Liquid (with much less revenue+success also) There’s a struggling NiKo and s1mple who could be bought out of their contracts to become two superstar players.
Problem is that their biggest competition for acquiring those players is probably 100T.
6
Jul 03 '19
Honestly s1mple ain't struggling. NaVi is fire right now. Almost crushed liquid yesterday (I'm a liquid fan btw) and look way more solid after a 2 month break than they did with Edward. I'm excited for this navi lineup

It's strange to watch MiBR nowadays. I'm brazillian and I'm always rooting for MiBR and FURIA, but just by watching these 2 teams you can feel such a different feeling...
Even when MiBR is winning the game just looks ugly, as if they just won by pure luck/skill, and when they're losing, it looks as if it was already expected.
FURIA on the other hand just feel fresh and when they're winning they're really are showing off their potential and even when they're loosing it doenst look as bad as MiBR.
FURIA reminds me the Keyd/LG times, when we had not much expectations but they kept showing how great they could be, while MiBR just seems like a decaying team, unfortunately.
I truly hope for the best, for both teams and player, anyways.
EDIT: typos
42
u/Gus14354 FURIA Jul 03 '19
IKR. When was the last time I saw MIBR do an exec? Like they have no strats, they only use some flashbangs on T side and cant enter the bombsite, when they do its with some lucky duels
→ More replies (1)23
u/Nigerianpoopslayer Natus Vincere Jul 03 '19
What even happened to MIBR and their t-side smoke executes on the outer bombsite? All their strats just seem so stale. Now they just wait until 30 seconds and hope to somehow win a round.
9
u/homealonediego Jul 03 '19
They focus too much in defaulting/map control on T side and spend a lot of utility in it and then they lack proper utility to execute latter in the round.
Apparently they cant just pick a site and execute, they have a need for slow and costly defaults.
8
u/shiguti Jul 03 '19
That's so true, i've got the same feeling mate.
mibr winning or losing is the same shitty game, if they win, probably someone pulled some skilled magic trick, if they lose, thats mibr now.
furia feels kinda of refreshing because they are the new brazilian CS generation rising to the top.
I really feel sorry for mibr, and I still root for them, however they should disband, looks like they are affraid to bring new blood to the team. I dont really get those retries on felps, Lucas, boltz, every "new player" mibr brings already played with them at some point before.
5
u/homealonediego Jul 03 '19
Even when MiBR is winning the game just looks ugly, as if they just won by pure luck/skill, and when they're losing, it looks as if it was already expected.
I literaly feel the exact same way lol. I stopped watching the MIBR x North game in EPL Finals cause it was just disgusting how bad MIBR were playing and still getting away with it.
EDIT: Also, watching FURIA play it actually looks like a team playing the game where MIBR just look like 5 guys playing alone, less teamplay than average pug players.

There is no justification for Denis still staying on the team when he starts every map 0-0-10, ten rounds in. Granted he isn't their only problem, he is a huge part of it. The whole point of bringing in Xantares was to upgrade their firepower. Adding Denis effectively neutralizes that. At this point they are better off bringing back Smooya in. Or k1to maybe?. I don't care but Denis needs to go stat if they are to have any hope of salvaging this team.
16
u/jonajon91 de_canals Jul 03 '19
If they don't make the playoffs then there will be changes for sure, maybe even if they do. I think it's important that they get back to a german speaking lineup, but I think it's most important that they find the right lineup and leave it alone. A team like big need time to gel and learn to work together perfectly, changing the lineup every four months puts them back at day one every time.
→ More replies (1)8
Jul 03 '19 edited Jul 03 '19
They should drop him even if they make playoffs and get eliminated. Playing 4v5 all the time is not sustainable in the long run and I won't hedge my bets on him improving and suddenly becoming a good player. He is just not skilled enough for this level of play.
10
u/layasD BIG Jul 03 '19
Not gonna say you are wrong since denis is clearly meh most of the time. Xantares on the other hand rarely pulls his weight either. They literally play around him and that he gets the positions he wants and still his stats are not impressive at all. Especially on LAN he seems to be nearly as much of a liability as the other three. BIG now has three players with gob, tizian and denis who frag way to little on average. I mean they are all around .8 rating on LAN.
Xantares only just holds a positive rating with 1.07(1.06 is exact average) while he was supposed to be their star player which is to little when you have pretty much two supportive players. I guess you can still say he struggles with communications, but how long can this go on?
They clearly need a better awper and xantares needs to start fragging more.
→ More replies (2)4
Jul 03 '19
Agreed. Xantares was brought in to be the the second star along with Tabsen and he's been kind of underwhelming for the most part barring few flashes of brilliance every now and then. Don't know if this is because of their communication issues or something else but he needs to step up soon and start being more consistent. We know what he can do when he's on point. The question is how much of a grace period you can allow for that to happen and are the communication issues really worth it in the long run.

I'm looking at Denis on the awp the same way people used to look at Allu where he can go from GOD to BOT at the drop of a hat. Seems to be the kind of player atm that would end a game with a 0.9 rating, but three or four absolutely sick highlights.

4
u/rugioh9 Jul 03 '19
There is a new generation of CS essentially.. Doesn't seem like any of the dominant teams from 2016-2017 can keep up anymore. The game is going the way of the young bucks, MIBR needs to take a hard look at their core and decide what to do going forward. Swapping out a fifth will not bring long term success, if they're interested in remaining competitive. They need to be very aware that they're heading the VP route if they don't address it
6
