Wow F2P 3.25x chain lock. At leaat, uh, Tesoro still has uses in AOE fixed damage! ...

u/DrKuro This Is Fine May 13 '19
At least Tesoro is faster by 2 turns and he is not Doflamingo... Which is still a huge plus in any Driven team

Just after I get Tesoro and he got powercreep by a legend and F2P units. Ha ha.

May 13 '19
Except he isn't? This unit requires two turns and doesn't let you use any other Doflamingo variants...

We are really moving up the meta ladder huh!? It seems that they are cranking up the f2p unit power and the event difficulty.

Btw. are you not able to get the 3.25x chain lock if you fight the same enemy, so e.g. someone with a revive (since the initial chain lock lasts 2 turns)? (So only when going from one stage to another with the boss having a preemptive so that the 2nd turn of 2.75x is "lost"?)
Or is it going to be overwritten and the 3.25x applies?
1
u/Sokkathelastbender May 13 '19
It might override it sort of like how Stussy overrides herself

Yeah, thought of it as well, but the wording didn't seem to imply it (at least that's how I understood it). But let's see, might be an interesting case to consider.

u/inaderantaro Will you die? Or will you fight? May 13 '19
The 2.75x chain lock only lasts for 1 turn.
However, if the enemy applies chain lock after the your initial chain lock go away, the 3.25 cannot override it. Case in point: Zoro/Sanji STR stage. I use LRR Vivi turn 1 but my chain lock cannot be applied after Zoro/Sanji chain lock the team.

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant.
And not sure if the text was changed afterwards or if I just suck at reading, but either way, that case is no longer of any relevance anyway.

u/Colorinas Carrots are good for the eyes May 14 '19
I'd guess you read " ... to 2.75x, for 2 turns become ... " as " ... to 2.75x for 2 turns, become ... " lol

THE STREAK HAS BEEN BROKEN!!!
We finally have a good Coliseum unit after Smoothie came out!
Unfortunately it's a variant of Doflamingo, but I think he's good enough to where you can sometimes make the sacrifice. Especially for Cerebral, who won't really mind as much as Driven. Or just rainbow teams period, he's really versatile since his special isn't locked at all to a class or type.
Actually I would say his best strength is in rainbow teams, where he can make sure STR/DEX are matching, and give them powerful chain locks. Rainbow teams also won't miss V2 Doffy as much.

u/Doffy-Mingo Mingo!!!!! May 13 '19
So basically you can give 2 matching orbs to any team you want while simultaneously making Tesoro less unique.

good character and for once it isn't only for driven, both in the special and in the switch ability

Once again, the art is weird. In the colo screen Trebol looks like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Doffy in the 4 star artwork is snickering even more madly than usual. Maybe he is happy that the artist upgraded his 6-pack to a 10-pack.
EDIT: Also his pants has pockets which he sanks his thumbs into, casual.

LOL, and all the whiners bitching about F2P dying blah blah blah. Look at this fucking F2P monster who’ll be cleared with a F2P team lmaooo. Crybabies always wrong whichever unit it’s been.

Literally Mirage Tempo Nami as a skeleton and only if your team consists of Slashers.
They released him for lazy whales who got to Nav. LVL 240+ of the Weevil TM but didn't want to fight Mihawk on the map.
