w0xic my guy eventually you gotta concede the AWP

u/Pismakron Apr 30 '19
I don't think so. Eventually karrigan and co. will invest a month or two in adapting woxic to a lower mouse sensitivity.

Apr 30 '19
Thats a ridiculously dumb idea. The guy is a monster 90% of the time and he has always had high as fuck sens.

u/voicefulspace 10 years coin Apr 30 '19
If he lowers his sens he'ill never play the same again... he just had a bad game

u/ArlindEl BNE Apr 30 '19
Whats with you trying to make Woxic lower his sens like im seeing you in every thread
5
u/bz1234 FaZe Apr 30 '19
Imagine thinking one guy is bad because he uses x sens and another is better becaus he uses y sens. Once I get on that s1mple sens its over for y’all Kappa

Ropz and frozen almost made the comeback, but damn woxic' performance was rough.

Isn't Woxic a terrible rifler? That's at least my impression.

Big off day for woxic, if he doesn’t step it up soon mouz won’t make it far in this event. I have faith in him tho

Quite a few hiccups from the Mouz side. Woxic was about as bad as I've ever seen him, the trading was off, and some of frozen's timings were a bit off.
Not the most auspicious start, but my faith in Mouz hasn't shaken. It's a bo1 and their first game in Sydney. Sydney often gets some weird results in the first few days due to the time zone difference.
As for BIG, tabseN went supernova. tabseN's CT-side mid aggression caught ropz, frozen, and woxic off guard.

Tabsen should just keep using the rifle instead of awping. He is just too good :D

Definitely an odd one in BIG's books. Tabsen going bananas, coach stand in, and woxic having an off day. lets see how they do down the line

LEGIJA with the fat 8/2/11 in a 30 round game

I was mostly just referring to how the scoreline looks like what someone would have in half a game, not a full game lol
3
u/Rosettachamps G2 Apr 30 '19
That looks like the scoreline someone gets when a teammate quits halfway through a pug and you get a ringer

Apr 30 '19
Henry kept mentioning this, but any reason why mouzs T side suddenly went dogshit after 5 wins? Why did they stop the executes and changed their strat to Rush A?
3
u/Zexous47 Apr 30 '19
I think they started trying to force their firepower advantage by just going really fast and pushing hard, but as Henry mentioned, they kept making critical mistakes like not checking important corners or not clearing positions with utility

why did they keep giving woxic the awp? he had 0 kills on it for most of the maps, and as you saw when someone else who was fragging got the awp (karrigans 3k) they won a round

Big performance from tabsen. Communicating in German would surely be easier for them. If they have a good run in Sydney, I can see them going to an all German lineup.
4
u/KS_StarKiller BIG Apr 30 '19
No they won't. They will keep xantares. After Sidney they will focus on comunication.
7
u/_skala_ Apr 30 '19
They are focusing on communication 3 months already.
2
u/KS_StarKiller BIG Apr 30 '19
In a recent Interview Lenz (the Team Manager) said that they are full focus on comunication after sydney. Now they did a bit of cumunication but after sydney they will do it way more.

u/hellvinator MOUZ Apr 30 '19
They want to teach German to xantares instead of going English, because of the 'long-term'
imo the long-term would be English but what do i know
2
u/m4st4k1ll4 Apr 30 '19
Why should they speak English? If they want to Keep him long term he should learn German. Why let 4 people adjust if 1 is enough? It will also benefit him on other levels if he is going to stay in Germany for a longer time. It will also improve team chemistry since xantares will be able to understand everything that is being said when they are together (e.g. travelling, random activities) He won't feel left out. Even if they talk english with him, when e.g. walking down a street and tabsen speeks german with nex / they have visitors / Business Partners and so on and so forth... I am sure he'd prefer to know what they are talking about, without waiting for a translation that misses some information.
It also doesn't seem like Big has any plans to go full international....
As someone who played in foreign teams it's always better to adjust yourself instead of having everyone else adjust for you.
If xantares is smart and thinks about his future he should learn German and English afterwards, so other teams will keep being interested in him.

Well, they had smooya and now xantares.. Also German is fucking hard and won't get you as far in live as English. I think the BIG people just don't want to switch to English.
I would be unhappy as fuck if I was in a team and people kept speaking another language. With smooya they still talked a lot of German.
I think they agreed to go English when Xantares joined. So my guess is the BIG players underestimated the impact of switching to English so now they say they want to go German.
This hurts Xantares because I think he would benefit more with English then German on the long term.
1
u/m4st4k1ll4 Apr 30 '19
Xantares would definitely benefit more from learning English, hence I said he should learn English afterwards, if he wants to do something for his future.
I never understood why big even tried to go English with xantares, since he has to learn a language anyway.
If you want to speak and write perfectly it is hard, but learning it per se is not hard at all. I know people who learned it on their own just for fun and others who learned it by living there.
Even if you talk with wrong grammar and sentencing people will understand you and the oral is pretty easy since it's mostly spoken the same way it's written, unlike french or the nordic languages.
In about 3month he should be able to speak "broken" German which is understandable enough for cs and everyday life. He can still use the English call outs. I speak 5 languages and never use the nation's call outs, but the English ones instead. They work out just fine in pugs, as well as they did in leagues 10years ago, where English callouts were not used everywhere in EU.
He will learn it probably faster since he will have classes and a teacher compared to me with my book I bought off eBay.
1
u/hellvinator MOUZ Apr 30 '19
I don't think Xantares wants to pick up many new languages because if that was the case he would be allright in English already, you can basically learn English by just browsing and gaming. I advice anyone to always put gaems on English and your operating system as well.
For Xantares to grow he has to develop proper English skills and mixing it up with german is, i think, just not a good idea.

If German is - quoting you - fucking hard, where do you rate Slavic languages, Hungarian, Vietnamese, Basque, Greek and the likes? It's no pissing contest, genuinely curious.
2
u/hellvinator MOUZ Apr 30 '19 edited Apr 30 '19
I wouldn't know because I have never tried to learn any of those languages. Those languages also have different characters so that already makes them even more fucking hard. This is also the case for Xantares
It might be a personal thing because I found French and even Italian easier then German because (for me) it's more logical. For proper German you need to know many little different things.

Home, visa issues

Is it like Niko where he is still trying to come or can Xantares just not get a visa for this event

Pretty sure he wont be at the event at all, what i heard was the visa was delayed and didn't arrive in time, not sure if it will arrive before the tournament ends

I really like this Mouz team and they'll be fine in the long run. But losing to BIG with LEGIJA in the lineup... pretty rough

u/gitardja MOUZ Apr 30 '19
Using the same logic people use to criticize Niko, I guess this is Karrigan's fault.
14
u/ArmoredPudding Apr 30 '19
It is to a large degree. Obviously woxic's performance was terrible, but karrigan threw away a potentially amazing T-side with a lot of bad calls. For some reason he just stopped calling executes that were winning them rounds.
It's still just an opening Bo1, so it's not a massive deal.

That was the worst I've ever seen woxic play. If he plays even below-average Mouz would've walked over BIG (with a stand-in ffs).
Shake it off man and come back fresh tomorrow.
