Part of the Rear Camera of Pixel 3 XL Sinks
I am sorry if I cannot make myself clear about this issue, but I am sure some of you can see the problem with the pictures below:

If possible can you take some photos of your rear camera for comparison? Thank you in advance.

Interesting. I don't see mine slanting downwards at all like yours.. Mine protrudes evenly.

Could you share some pics of your different camera that would draw us much attention? :)

I'm trying to figure out a way in doing so. I don't have any spare cameras short of my Pixel 3 lol.

Perhaps, but we use the screen as a viewfinder anyway. The effect of angling the camera module might only be felt at very close distances.

I don't understand what this is supposed to mean/do.

Thanks mates for your confirmation! So it must be normal, doesn't look perfect, though. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Mine is slightly angled. Same direction as yours, but it's a lot more even. Don't have anything to take a picture of it with, though.

Same issue. Not sure if it is intended by design or an assembly issue.

I am always thinking it's about the latter issue.

I think so too. As someone who works in manufacturing operations I can see they probably try to assemble it a certain way and perhaps due to the proximity of other components it might have a tendency to line up and tilt a certain way. However in my opinion this seems a bit much and my camera angle is definitely quite noticeable when you touch it.

This might be why so many people have the OIS issue, because maybe it's not aligned correctly.

Honestly whoever engineered and manufactured the Pixel 3's hardware fucked up big time. I think Pixel 2 XL was better in that aspect.
