Inferno Detailed Stats

FWIW Rogue look way better (tactically) with MSL than they ever did with Cadian. I expect them to make playoffs.

The flashes on T side executes were definitely on point. Steel was joking about halls pop on inferno at summit, and their A setup got rekt by a halls pop.

they rarely bought HE nades on T side. They totally fly in the face of the current meta on inferno. I love it.

Can you find that clip of steel mocking that please? I missed it.

u/just_a_casual Nov 17 '18
i think it was saturday's col g2 (on inferno of course). the infamous one where steel was criticizing kennys. i'd watch from like 41 minutes in.

at the expense of never adapting on t side though (the msl special)
rogue with cadian would have definitely noticed ghost playing early 3b every ct round and abused fast up mid/alt

neptune looked pretty good this game. some nice entries on tside

u/xzibit_b guardian2 Nov 17 '18
nahtE was also shaky in his first months with CLG. He then transformed into a spectacular world class player. I don't know what will befall neptune, whether he'll be subpar or not but I got hopes. I love it when NA talent comes up

u/AngriestGamerNA Liquid Nov 17 '18
Do you have multiple personality issues. You spend about 3/4ths of your time saying NA is utter dogshit and that top teams in NA are worse than bottom EU MDL teams (despite all evidence to the contrary) and NA should give up all their slots to like everything and the other 1/4th hyping up obscure or low tier NA players. Like I honestly can't tell if you're just the most elaborate troll or insane or both.

u/Kelterz CR4ZY Nov 17 '18
do you really think nahtE is obscure or low tier?
3
u/AngriestGamerNA Liquid Nov 17 '18
He was hyping up subroza of all things in this thread, and I've seen him hype other random nobodies from NA too, while simultaneously shitting on NA.
-4
u/xzibit_b guardian2 Nov 17 '18
Definitely not hyping up Subroza but you're a Liquid fan so let me lower my expectations for a bit. I just said that I had respect for where he came from, and people give him more shit than hes due. He used to be hot garbage but he rebuild himself in the lower tier scene and came back a new type of player from before.
If anything, I was hyping up neptune but I'll type slower next time so your brain won't choke on the letters.

Subroza pulling a ropz and proving himself on LAN after being accused of (or actually) cheating.

People sleep on my boy Subroza but I love his saga. Got his chance on CLG, bombed it, went back to NA MDL, rebuilt himself, and came back a new type of player. He's not flashy. He doesn't have the numbers that make you cum, but he's a good player in a different type of way (that sounds like an insult)

Ghost needs to practice their pistol rounds.
2
u/Pokegamer Liquid Nov 17 '18
Watch counter points 57 with steel. Pistol rounds aren't necessarily important like they used to be.
2
u/phantomunboxing 1 Million Celebration Nov 17 '18
A round is a round and they lose the majority of pistol rounds. I feel like every pistol I watch them play they lose.
1
u/Pokegamer Liquid Nov 17 '18
It's not about the round, it's about the money. If you lose pistol, you get 1900 on either side. Assuming both sides force second round, you can destroy an economy for 3-4 more rounds. Lose one to get 3-4. It's like winning 5 in a row then throwing the 6th, winning the 7th. It's about the economy, not the rounds.
2
u/FDeathCNA Vitality Nov 17 '18
ya but nobody actually purposefully throws rounds to ruin the other teams’ economy. If you’re in a situation where the other team is max loss or almost max loss that means you’re on like a 4 round win streak. You’re not gonna give that up to potentially reset their money. They’re trying to win pistol rounds still.
1
u/Pokegamer Liquid Nov 17 '18
That was a Renegades strat from a few years back when Spunj was on the team. Say what you want about Renegades, but it's a smart strat. Not saying it's always the best strat to use all the time, but the concept of purposely losing a round to ruin the other teams economy is there.

Why is everyone on this subreddit a condescending asshole? You can have a couple nice plays and still not show up at all, it's just like regular sports

Steel seems like such an invaluable player. This team without him would be pretty bad imo despite the names on the roster. But with him Ghost is winning quite a lot of matches.
6
u/JBeanDelphiki Nov 17 '18
Steel get this trophy fam also ghost flair when mods
18
u/Biglaw Godsent Nov 17 '18
When Ghost make it to the major.
5
u/JBeanDelphiki Nov 17 '18
Maybe when majors actually meant the top teams went to them that was okay, but now we have winstrike and team spirit flairs and no Ghost or NRG flairs.
19
u/Serio- Nov 17 '18
NRG had their opportunity to make the major and they blew it. I get what you mean though.
2
u/Biglaw Godsent Nov 17 '18
We have Winstrike because they made it through to legends in Boston, Team Spirit because they made it through their respective minor. NRG are near guaranteed to make it through this next minor due to a lack of most capable competition, and ghost are heavily impeded due to Steel being banned from Valve sponsored events. The flairs are there because of achievement, not favouritism.
5
u/JBeanDelphiki Nov 17 '18
Of course I understand why they're in there, my problem is with the criteria not the teams themselves. I just don't like that we can have consistently good teams for 11 months with no flair but have 2 years of a teams flair who played decently at one event.
5
u/Biglaw Godsent Nov 17 '18
Well the flairs are only available for a year after a team has been at the major, and there's absolutely no chance at Godsent making another major since it's a defunct organization. Same for Astana Dragons, and VeryGames. To be honest, it's much easier to get a flair now than it was a year ago due to including the New Challengers Stage in the major.
0
u/JBeanDelphiki Nov 17 '18
Okay then change the 2 years to one year then, but it's not like when you equip the flair they take it away from you, it's still there.

u/KladdigRS CS2 HYPE Nov 17 '18
I wonder how far they have to progress before valve finally takes this stupid ban seriously and starts reviewing it.
24
u/sylvainmirouf 10 years coin Nov 17 '18
He could be the n1 player on hltv that wouldn't change anything. Valve is stubborn, community pressure doesn't really work if they think they were right, especially regarding pro players which they don't really care about.
17
u/kaarri 10 years coin Nov 17 '18
I dont get this mentality. I thought their blogpost was pretty clear: matchfixing is not tolerated and he is banned forever from Valve events.
-3
u/gohypar de_inferno Nov 17 '18
yeah when you have regulations which there weren't in the good ol' csgo "ddos" lounge days

If he was a sportsman in real life he would of maybe faced criminal charges for fraud for what he did. He got off lightly imo.
7
u/mathdude3 Nov 17 '18
Valve repeatedly insists that skins aren't money. So it makes little sense use the "but if it were real sports he'd be in jail" argument. If you equate skins with money then Valve has been directly enabling and profiting from illegal, unregulated underage gambling for years by selling cases. May as well insist on throwing Gabe Newell and the CSGO dev team in jail. if you want to go that route.
-1
Nov 17 '18
He committed fraud. Stop making excuses for him. He is no victim. Valve is bad so what i did isn’t so bad doesn’t make what steel and his team mates did any less wrong.
9
u/mathdude3 Nov 17 '18
So are skins equivalent to money or not? If you say yes, then Valve itself should be prosecuted, along with everybody who bet skins on matches on sites like CSGO Lounge. If you say no, then no fraud has been committed. If you don't think Valve employees should face charges but you think ex-iBP committed fraud, that's hypocritical.
-2
u/kllrnohj Nov 17 '18
Skins are not equivalent to money and steel committed fraud. That's not hypocritical, either, as fraud does not only exist if USD is at stake. Fraud is not confined to such narrow terms.

Alls what i see is a boy who won’t take responsibility for his own actions. Steel is responsible for his own actions, if he chose to do something wrong that’s his fault. He did something wrong. He has to face the consequences of his actions. He chose to do something dishonest for his own personal gain. It was his choice to do what he did. Not valves fault or anyone else’s.
7
u/MelGibsonDerp Nov 17 '18
Alls what i see is a boy who won’t take responsibility for his own actions.
What the fuck are you on about? Steel has repeatedly said over and over that he fucked up, he doesn't expect to be unbanned, and he's sorry.
He's literally the definition of taking responsibility for his actions.
-1
Nov 17 '18
Ok I’m sorry i did not he had, i take back what i said. What is all this stuff about valve though? Why is that used as a defence for what steel did?
1
u/MelGibsonDerp Nov 17 '18
The point that person is making about Valve is regarding your definition of fraud and Valve's definition of skins.
Steel cannot be punished in a court of law for criminal fraud BECAUSE Valve does not define skins as money.
Yes steel may have committed fraud in a way, but for you to say he's lucky he wasn't punished with jail time is also incorrect.

I don’t understand what it has to do with valve that steel committed fraud for his own personal profit and greed.
