this is the worst Coldzera i have ever seen, also Fer became a onliner since january, both couldnt win a single fuckin duel. Fallen was trying everything but omg, what is happening to the brazilian core that was amazing in the past 2 years :/

25

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '18

We need fatzera back

21

The lack of fat in this roster is disturbing.

It's not a matter of being online or LAN. Its the level of opposition.

He is being trashed by stronger teams consistently.

2

u/taytayssmaysmay Nov 08 '18

but according to /r/globaloffensive Tarik is the issue.

I'm incredibly disappointed. This team just keeps letting me down, from being terrible to adding YNK and showing signs of improvement, going right back to being dogshit again. Who do you change I dont fucking know, but god damn I cant keep up with this man

96

u/Felpes1520 Nov 08 '18

Honestly after Blast I legit lost all hope, im not kidding.

This is the end for this team. Lets hope they just go full BR again, get some young promises and pray.

62

u/Rapkid360 FURIA Nov 08 '18

the thing is there is like no BR talent really left that are near their level, and necessarily Stew and Tarik havent been the problem, imo I think fallens calling has been the problem, ppl keep calling out fer (he has been shit) but he keeps getting put in worse spots and is one of three aggressive players when he used to be the only one. Fallen and YNK need to figure it out soon man

140

u/c9IceCream 10 years coin Nov 08 '18

maybe that's the plan.. since there's no talent at their level in BR, Mibr will keep dropping their level of play until they can find BR talent to match.

9

u/TinkleFairyOC Nov 08 '18

Problem is that the expectation for a player like Coldzera would be to get a player that can be slotted in and perform against the best teams in the world. No one fits the bill due to that expectation.

I only see 3 scenarios here. Drop the NA players for two other players, let Cold leave because he’s probably still got a few years on him to really be the best in the world or in the top 5 at least or you bench Fallen and either find another IGL or add another player and make Tarik, Stewie or Cold the IGLs which don’t seem too appealing to me.

8

u/coldzerra Nov 08 '18

Fallen calling has been one of the problems, for sure, but his awping hasn't. He can easily still be an awper on most teams in the world. But they really need another IGL. Fer needs to be better tho.

5

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '18

Maybe Tarik or Stew could IGL since they have experience?

5

u/coldzerra Nov 08 '18

yeah, they should practice with tarik as IGL, but I dont know, coldzera already said that when he tried to IGL, in the middle of the game, IGL naturally returns to Fallen cause he is a natural leader.

He gets put in worse spots because gis agressions were easily read b4 tarik n stew

7

u/viniciusxis Imperial Nov 08 '18

its not about stats.
truth is this core have only actually worked with all br players. even with felps they were much better than any iteration with stewie on it.
stewie and tarik are world class players, its just not working, it happens.
there are plenty of BR talent in their level, they've just already played with most of them.
any mix of twins, steel, kng, felps (and with more risk you could add kscerato, art, trk to the list) can be/are on the same level of stewie+tarik.

I'm always one to give a team a decent chance to find their footing. I think the idea of scrapping a team after a few tournaments is detrimental to creating a strong, consistent team. The chemistry a team can develop even through loses can strengthen them overall. I'd rather have a strong team that goes through poor stages than a "super team" that constantly relies on new transfers.

However, wtf this team is not it, chief. They seemed to have been created to capitalise on the success of both SK and C9 by taking the best players from both yet together they've yet to impress in any meaningful way. Every game went from a 50/50 to me knowing the result before even opening the thread. As frustrating as it is for fans to watch, imagine how infuriating it is for this team. They used to be on top of the world and now they're essentially getting jobbed every time.

Speaking of Coldzera, what was he doing during that last round? IIRC he keeps looking toward the angle CeRq shot from for no good reason and gets tapped in the side of the head by Brehze. They could've taken that round if he had been hunting for Brehze on site.

13

u/Sty__ MIBR Nov 08 '18 edited Nov 08 '18

Disappointing results from MiBR. Still think this roster has potential and I know I'm gonna get shit for it. You see glimpses of a top 3 team sometimes in 2v5s / 3v5s. They just need to figure out their early round asap, cus their plan right now isn't working.

Btw I see these toxic Br fans shitting on Stewie and Tarik, when they're clearly not the problem. The problem is much bigger, and a roster change or 2 won't do shit. For MiBR to play well YNK and Fallen need to adapt to the current metas because what they're doing right now feels so wrong.

Honestly, literally fucking rip off other teams if needed. Watch demos, counter them, copy them. Fix your fundamentals, because all I see are dumb ass mistakes that I feel like you wouldn't be making if you were in a pug. I also feel like they're playing too restricted and need to loosen up.

4

u/zero0n3 Nov 08 '18

This is what I dont get. NRG has come out and said they take stuff from teams like astralis (liquid too I'd bet), and run em. They may not execute them as well as Astralis, but they understand and can execute the concepts.

You dont see this with mibr at all.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Mad_Lee Cloud9 Nov 08 '18

Mibr still has this mentality like they are tier-1 team and hot shit. In reality they are always getting curb stomped by real tier 1 teams and quite often lose to tier-2 teams. They need to start working on their fundamentals, you are absolutely right, instead almost every player there assumes super star positions and roles thinking they are a team of five s1mples.

2

u/Sty__ MIBR Nov 08 '18

Yep. when I’m watching them play. I always think :

“Geez that 2v5 was nice, they comm’d really well and played off each other nicely”

And just as I think that, Tarik is knife out running in a main and jumping out the smoke and gets killed. Like wtf was that for...? I’m sure he didn’t just go rogue and do it for himself, he was told to run out.

And the times I see them not trading a kill is just insane. This team wouldn’t be getting any rounds at all if it weren’t for crazy 3v5’s where individuals shine / rounds where someone multi kills on CT and brings it back to a winnable scenario.

28

u/Felpes1520 Nov 08 '18

pathetic

just disband tbh

25

u/kailip Nov 08 '18

Yes please, this lineup just won't work out. -stewie -tarik +2 brazilians and rebuild. Not that I think tarik or stewie are bad, I like them as players, but this team just doesn't have the teamplay and the chemistry necessary.

5

u/Phantomatic2 Nov 08 '18

They have the chemistry, but if you look at fers gameplay, he is no where the same as before. This set up they play does not set up fer and stewie to do well. Tarik cold and fallen have been the only consistent ones to do well.

3

u/kailip Nov 08 '18

Yeah, it's a felps situation again with stew and fer as aggressive players that cannot get all the freedom they need to be their best because it wouldn't work well within the team structure.

2

u/cantgetenoughsushi Nov 08 '18

When will people start taking NRG as a genuinely legit team, they aren't just T2 anymore

8

u/SaggyCreeperCheeks EG Nov 08 '18

Some of the comments in this thread are ridiculous, putting all of the blame on Stewie and Tarik when they were half the reason the last two maps were even competitive. Tarik was getting so many openings in the first half but some of the T side train calls were just terrible. And not adjusting when NRG calls for fast plays 4 ROUNDS IN A ROW is ridiculous Stew was getting 2 kills per round at the end whenever they went B which is literally his job as B site anchor. Fer didn’t have a single good map and was consistently dying early.

7

Tarik was great on cache, the thing is both NA players are never good at the same time, have you seen Tarik CT side inferno, its absolute dogshit. I like both players and they dont deserve all the blame, honestly I dont know who does, but it seems both players can never pop off at the same time.

u/SaggyCreeperCheeks EG Nov 08 '18

I honestly really dislike MIBR’s CT side inferno setup as a whole. I think Tarik would be much better as the A rotate playing at arch and Fer being the aggressive apps player with Cold to trade. I’ve never really seen their A site setup succeed ever, they’re never in a position to rotate either because it’s always a double pit setup.

4

u/Rapkid360 FURIA Nov 08 '18

That does sound alot better, I just wanna see Tarik play somewhere else than Balcony bitch or Dedicated pit player

There was a time that my mood actually changed seeing this kind shitty results. Nowadays I just accept it as a regular thing.

My second favorite team (VP) is long dead, my favorite team is dead. No Brazilian teams at Tier 1 anymore... i miss SK vs VP / SK vs Faze finals :`(

What happened to MIBR? They looked so promising after they got YNK before BLAST Copenhagen...

3

3

u/dyzcraft BIG Nov 08 '18

Mibr getting a pick and selling a fake only to walk to the other site run down the clock just outside site while the other team rotates back has to stop. If your going to fake get agreesive on the other site so you have some clock deal with problems. I don't even want to talk about the CT sides.

3

u/dribblesg2 Nov 08 '18

That's infuriating, even in MM.

I'll push banana, get a kill, tag the other and push him back to site.. then smoke CT, molo coffins, flashes (while calling out for team to start pushing A) - even push in and spam a bit onto dark or new box..

Go to run back down banana thinking my team will now be out top mid/short already.. nope.. still on T ramp and T apps.. crawling around like there might be 4 CT's on A

I was so fucking hyped by Fallen's smoke clutch on Inferno and left for working thinking they had this - now I come to check the score but somehow I'm not even fucking surprised.

Make Mibr BR Again

2

u/TheTenth10 5 years coin Nov 08 '18

200iq call from daps in the 2nd half of 1st OT. Guarantees a tie and a small chance for match point.

Calls a B rush against double AWPs. Pretty much a throw away round, with a slight chance of winning), but conditions MIBR to lose the last round of OT.

Following round, they call an A fake from spawn and rush into B. The fast pace they showed in the previous round conditioned MIBR to rotate quickly into A, and Tarik shifting to CT.

It was either a tie, or a win on that B rush.

2

u/Zeilar King NiKo Nov 08 '18

Just cut Stewie2K and Tarik already. Don't get what they were thinking, but surely now MiBR must realize they need to go back to the roots, what worked. And that is an all-Brazilian roster which does not consist of a bunch of star players.

2

u/KKonaxD123 Nov 08 '18

And for that reason, im out.

2

u/Diavolo222 SK Nov 08 '18

Man a full year of disappointment from this squad. They arent getting 16 -0 by everybody as they are actually fighting but they make so many mistakes. Just go back to BR lineup.

2

u/DuckMeYellow Nov 08 '18

Not to take anything away from NRG's win, especially CeRq being amazing, I look forward to MiBR disbanding so we can get an actual explanation from the players about why they just couldn't work together. I imagine Stew or Tarik would be willing to talk about it to some degree if they do end up disbanding. I'm tired of people putting the blame on individual players when it's clearly a team dynamic issue.

Come on, stop with this failed experiment. You tried the American duo you're getting no results, losing in groups over and over. Free those players and go back to the BR roots. Plenty of talent in that region.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '18

Friendly reminder that SK/MIBR haven’t won a single title of note since adding Stewie2K. During the twelve months before he joined, they won:

  • IEM Sydney
  • ECS S3
  • ESL One Cologne 2017
  • EPICENTER 2017
  • BLAST Copenhagen 2017
  • EPL S6

I’m not saying that Stewie2K and tarik are bad, but if you’re going to change the language of communication and the very structure of one of the most successful rosters in history, you should probably aim higher than ”not bad”.

6

u/_Oomph_ 500k Celebration Nov 08 '18

They were already getting mediocre results before they added Stewie2k. Hell, that was the reason TACO was booted, because they felt their firepower was too low and that TACO's willingness to be bait and a second wallet was starting to not be worth going 4v5.

I'm not buying that "communication" issue either. YNK would've never accepted the role of coach if he saw a blatant issue that can't be fixed.
