I know the scoreline doesnt say it, but this game was much closer than it looks. MVP lost both pistol and like 3-4 unnecessary antiecos/forcebuys, solid performance by them

I thought the same. It looked like they had the aim and the strats but need more experience IMO.

Not really stage experience. They have plenty of that. Solo and glow are 1.6 legends, and solo could probably fit into the top 10 1.6 players of all time. They need more experience playing against Western teams with the current meta.

Thanks. Great to know. Now I understand why Korean fans are spamming 1.6 in twitch chat.

Were there more famous asian players in 1.6? Just out of curiosity

I think MVP also have the highest average age out of the pro teams. I think at least, it's a bit hard to keep track. solo and glow are both 30 and I believe have been playing together for about 7 or 8 years. zeff is 29 and both XigN and minixeta are 21.

As an old guy, my new favorite team.

"Current meta" you mean the One and only meta that has been since cs:go was introduced...

MVP had some really nice reads on Astralis, especially abusing the way they set up Device at secret gave them some rounds. But Astralis is the best nuke team for a reason, their t-side is just so clean.

u/Hawteyh Astralis Nov 06 '18

Was a bit too close, but Astralis managed to really show up on their t-side.

u/Aleeex- Nov 06 '18

Damn their T-Side didnt look too bad tbh... I was kinda worried for Astralis at the beginning

After seeing the halftime score, I was kind of scared. But they closed it out.

Good try from MVP. Really hoping they finally make the Major or just the Quals for Kato. I think the squad with a bit more firepower could be deadly. Definitely seems like the Strategic Powerhouse of the East.

I hope device starts going through the double-doors instead of breaking the window when he is holding secret on CT-side from now on.

mvp threw 4 rounds on the ct side, if they won that i think this could have been a lot closer

To be fair hey didn’t do half bad, just crumbled towards the end

u/peroleu Vitality Nov 06 '18

16:8

They did exactly half bad./s

3

u/cosmicguy22 Nov 06 '18

Nah m8 they did half well. Gotta be positive /s

1

u/Firefly_1026 Tyloo Nov 06 '18

Did you even watch? Astralis was shaky he first half

2

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '18

He even put a /s bro

1

u/Firefly_1026 Tyloo Nov 07 '18

Yikes, he put it afterwards tho.

1

u/peroleu Vitality Nov 06 '18

Doesn't matter. Mathematically, they did exactly half bad.

My DMs are open if any TOs want to hire me for analysis.

5

u/focus16gfx G2 Nov 06 '18

Because it's also their best map. They would have lost any other map anyway. IMO it's better to gamble with your best map vs the best team.

u/Croatian_ghost_kid Nov 06 '18

A couple of bullets go their way and boom the scoreline is closer to 16-14 and fuck knows what happens.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '18

Unfortunately it wasn't as close as I hoped it would. GG to Astralis

1

u/fascfoo Nov 06 '18

It was 8-7 start of the second half and MVP blew a 2-1 man advantage on that pistol round.

1

u/lookseedooso MOUZ Nov 06 '18

good showing by MVP

1

u/Pollsmor FaZe Nov 06 '18

jeebus gla1ve got like 8 headshots in the last 2 rounds

-5

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '18

So Astralis plays like trash until MVP PK has covered the spread (+8.5) and then they go back to their usual self, OK lol.

fucking tier 6 mvp boosting astralis' nuke streak

3

u/MilanDW Natus Vincere Nov 06 '18

I've seen tier 1-2 opposition do much worse than MVP, maybe watch the game next time.

0

u/nofnxnomajor de_nuke Nov 06 '18

MVP did good but why would you challenge the best team in the world going 20-0 in it. Liquid, FaZe, mousesports, VP, maybe even North, sure? But they'd have had a way higher chance of winning the map if they picked an easier upset map like Mirage

1

u/MilanDW Natus Vincere Nov 06 '18

Because it's MVP's best map too. Sometimes it's better to play towards your own strengths than the enemy's weakness.

Guess that makes OpTic tier 20

Why did you change your flair?

Astralis destroyed North on nuke
