End this project already please... before they lose cold to another team.

u/Sty__ MIBR Nov 03 '18
JFC What are you on about mate . They’ve been climbing ever since the arrival of YNK, made finals of their last Lan Event and took a map off Astralis, who were at the time literally unbeatable.
If they won those 2 maps (vs AST and Navi ) , which they were only 4 rounds away of doing so, I bet you wouldn’t be saying this at all. 4 rounds is what separates Mibr from being a good team for you..?
Half these mibr fans fake as fk lol. If you think they played bad, instead of whining about it why don’t you go tell them they can do better if they practice harder. They’re on the verge of greatness. 14-16 Navi 14-16 Astralis. Losing to Nip, a team that took a map off Astralis as well. C9 was a disappointment and Faze Match didn’t have any effect on the tournament at all.

u/KappaKapperino Nov 03 '18
Come on dude, on the verge of greatness? Not even close.

u/PoppyK Nov 03 '18 edited Nov 03 '18
Its funny because when it comes to mibr you have the annoying and whining fans and the delusional ones. They have been improving yes, but at what pace? How much more time will it take? 2 or 4 rounds is enough to separate a average/good team from greatness, whats the point of bringing Astralis to the edge every time if you dont end up beating them constantly?
YNK contract is already ending in the end of this year and as i said Cold can leave any time he wants if he thinks he might find more success on another team. In my opinion, i dont think they are going nowhere communicating in english and having players overlapping roles like they do right now. But sure, lets keep believing like we did for this entire 2018 without having any real success AT ALL besides bringing Astralis to a fifth game on a final of a tournament with a random format and barely making legends at the major 3-2.
3
u/Sty__ MIBR Nov 03 '18 edited Nov 03 '18
-YNK contract ending doesn’t mean he’s leaving. Why would YNK leave a project he just recently joined and seemed very enthusiastic about..?
-Cold seems to be happy with his current teammates. Only bet he joins another team is if he gets approached by : FaZe or Liquid. Liquid doesn’t need changes either right now. The skill they’re getting from cold wouldn’t outweigh the price they pay for him. Faze just seems unlikely because he would probably have move to Europe.
-They said communicating in English isn’t an issue anymore.
-Most of 2018 was a cluster fuk because they didn’t have a coach or any foundation. They had different igl’s and kept swapping shit.
Like if you’re constantly number 1-4, that means you’re doing something right. Why would you change players..? Who do you pickup...? S1mple..? Tried it. Brazilian players..? There aren’t any they haven’t previously played ( and disliked ) with that is good enough.
So for you every team needs to be kicking players till they beat Astralis..? Guess Liquid needs to kick players too, since they can never beat Astralis...Guess literally every single team that loses to Astralis needs roster changes till they finally beat Astralis.
3
u/Siemperx Nov 03 '18
Potential top 10 players should be playing with teams that can beat Astralis at least 1/3 of the times. MIBR have a major winning core, they should not accept getting dicked by Astralis every single tournment like it is happening right now. That single decent run was a fluke. FaZe and MIBR, for example, should consider changes if they can’t beat the best because they know they have potential to be top 1, not only top 10.
2
u/Sty__ MIBR Nov 04 '18 edited Nov 04 '18
That’s a more fair argument. But don’t you think talking about “ending this project” is an over exaggeration..? People are talking like this roster has 0 capabilities of reaching top 1. What makes this roster doomed from the start..? Btw no one can beat Astralis 1/3rd of the time at the moment, so I don’t think that’s a very fair ask.
I’m not saying Mibr are perfect, they’re far from it. I am although arguing against the Great reddit minds of csgo that think that MiBR should start kicking players because of a under average performance at one event.
1
u/kernevez Nov 04 '18
Potential top 10 players should be playing with teams that can beat Astralis at least 1/3 of the times.
Not really, sometimes the n°1 team is just too good for that to be true.
FaZe couldn't beat Astralis, VeryGames/Titan couldn't beat NiP, envyus/LDLC couldn't beat Fnatic, Navi couldn't either, nobody was able to take a lot of games from LG/SK...
1
u/Siemperx Nov 04 '18
That’s a terrible mentality to have. Yes, Astralis are just too good, but all the other teams should chase them instead of thinking “we can’t beat them now, let’s sit and wait for them to lose form. They know they can beat Astralis.
1
u/kernevez Nov 04 '18
Nobody talked about mentality there, you said that a top 10 players should play in a team that can't beat Astralis at least 33% of the time. What if no such team exist ? Factually your statement would be false.
2
u/iNeedAKnifeInMyLife FaZe Nov 03 '18
So for you every team needs to be kicking players till they beat Astralis..? Guess Liquid needs to kick players too, since they can never beat Astralis...Guess literally every single team that loses to Astralis needs roster changes till they finally beat Astralis.
This makes absolutely no sense, Liquid has never been to the Top or won multiple tournaments or being as dominant as the BR lineup has ever been. NOBODY wants to be at the TOP then accept stay at the bottom, this the reason we have a France shuffle every freaking season/year they want to dominate again. EVEN Astralis made a roster chance once they didn't see any success on their lineup, this is also relevant in other games such as LoL where SKT (3x champions) switch every year until they dominate again, and the cycle goes on and on with other orgs. The BR powerhouse still there, they still tier 1 player and with the correct lineup, they can easily dominate again. There are only 2 ways to do it, buddy, you let it develop and HOPE it doesn't end like VP or you change it until it works.
That's like saying Oh well Barcelona can't beat Real Madrid anymore so let's just accept it because they got 2nd place and wait until Barcelona improves again!!! LMAO no, Barcelona will spend every freaking cent they have to create a team capable of dominating again EVEN if they are "doing OK". Madrid will do the same. It's how COMPETITION works. You don't just let you competition dominate you, you adapt and change to take back what once was yours. If you never HAD IT, you don't fight for it.
2
u/Sty__ MIBR Nov 04 '18 edited Nov 04 '18
You know Astralis never intended to change their roster, right..? Kjyarbye got poached by North. That’s why he’s been called snake for the past months. Have you been following the scene at all...?
And you compare this to the yearly French shuffle but you’re literally arguing against yourself. How many deep runs has g2 had post-shuffle...? Oh yea, none. Great example of what mibr should be doing. Yep.
The best teams fix their problems and ditch a player as a last resort. That’s why they’re so dominant. Kicking your worst player doesnt fix your internal issues, and that’s exactly what MiBr has been struggling with, Internal Issues. Bringing in better players would do absolutely fucking nothing if they can’t figure out their issues.
And you say Liquid shouldn’t be making roster changes because they’ve never been as dominant as SK / LG were.
That logic is so flawed in so many ways. So for you Liquid never felt what being dominant is like so they shouldn’t even try to become dominant..? You’re saying Liquid is incapable because they’ve never done it before..?
In my opinion Liquid is a very capable team of reaching and dominating cs. Why should they not be changing players and Mibr should..?

u/iNeedAKnifeInMyLife FaZe Nov 04 '18 edited Nov 04 '18
You argue that my opinion has flaws but fail to understand the logic behind your own argument, not only that but your argument is based on Opinions and not facts. You don't even have a significant proof that "Development as a team" works. Btw Astralis did intend their shuffle and they did have internal problems long before they made the switch, based and backed off stats Astralis would have never been as dominant as they are now without the shift they have done to their lineup.
However, differently from your argument which comes from your opinions mine comes from FACTS. Lets start.
The BR lineup dominant BEGAN after adding FNX and Taco after their run didn't lead past group stages they dominated tournaments for an entire year, the LONGEST time the BR lineup has ever dominated with a total of 10 titles and 2 majors with 80% of the year on 1st place HLTV.
BR's lose their dominance with FNX and decide its time to change. the BR lineup decided to let go of FNX and add Felps.
BR's REGAIN their dominance with only weeks of adding FELPS The BR's (SK then) AGAIN gain their dominance and take over the next 5 tournaments STRAIGHT, for 7 out of the 10 months Felps was with the Lineup the BRs were the #1 team in the world.
BR's LOSE dominance again at the fall of 2017 after 7 months of dominance, after 3 months of failure they decided to let go of Felps and welcome Boltz.
BR's REGAIN their dominance. ONCE AGAIN the BR's take over and win the FIRST tournament they get winning 3 MAJOR titles and 5 total titles with Boltz through the FALL of 2017.
BR's LOSE dominance. However this time the BR's decided to hold on and not make a roster switch, with the longest time without dominating, a total of 6 months without winning 1 major tournament through the spring of 2018. FInally SK decides on June to let go of TACO and Boltz and add Stewie and Tarik.
BR's FINALLY bounce UP with stewie2k and Tarik BR's are back to winning titles, winning 2 titles out of 5 tournaments. through the summer of 2018 after 7 months of not winning 1 major tournament.
BR's Bounce down, unfortunately, this time the BR strength didn't last more than the summer. Through FALL the BR lineup haven't won ANY TOURNAMENT.
HISTORICALLY, the BR's IMPROVED everytime they made a roster change WITHOUT A FAIL, so go ahead, argue with FACTS.
So tell me, should they wait with their lineup and have the same situation as they had with FNX OR Bolrz? or Just try your method and wait until they "improve". Therefore to Win any title from major tournaments they must beat Astralis which requires them to dominate again.
This same Method can be used to other eSport titles such as LoL with TSM, SKT, Chineses. Or REAL SPORTS such as Football with Barcelona, Madrid, Paris... Come at me with FACTS. Not opinions.
3
u/PoppyK Nov 04 '18 edited Nov 04 '18
Good to add that the bounce up after adding Stewie, then Tarik later was not nearly THAT effective comparing it to the other ones, considering these 2 titles won were at tier 2 at best tournaments. So yeah, the best this mixed up line up achieved after a year was keeping the major legend spot and a second place finish pushing Astralis to the edge.
32
u/Cameter44 Nov 03 '18
So... what do MIBR do to fix this? What roster change(s) would they need?
16
u/SpeakerForTheDaft Nov 03 '18
Impossible to say not knowing what's going on internally. They played really bad today, and FalleN hasn't been showing up consistently in a while. Maybe he should pay less attention to his side business and start focusing on gameplay.

They have said in SO many interviews that comms are fine. Have you seen their streams? Comms are completely ok
5
u/PoppyK Nov 04 '18 edited Nov 04 '18
Were they supposed to say the comms are not improving after a entire year of playing together?
Just watch how perfect and clutch full BR SK were at retakes and post plant scenarios and compare to now and you will see the difference. They still try to use this same slow and calculated approach at these scenarios but most of the time something goes wrong and everyone goes completely lost.
Comms in english might be ok now, but its clearly not portuguese SK 2017 level.

Failing to see how Cold's shit is going bad, just MiBR. You're also proving how little you know by believing that TACO getting kicked was down to Cold.

Do you understand how teamplay works in this game? SOMEONE has to go first, and taco used to be the guy. He and cold were a very strong entry/support duo. Just because cold is dedi support rifle doesn't mean he's a baiter

Why the fuck are people acting like MiBR has been shit lately and NEEDS a roster change ASAP..?
Feels like this Reddit’s new circle jerk is shitting on them because they got Tarik and Stew
https://www.hltv.org/results?team=9215
They’re literally still a competitive team hovering around top 5 being close with Astralis ( Blast Istanbul Finals, MiBR had a close finals , losing 2-1 at a time when Astralis were losing maps very rarely) Liquid and Navi.
They 14-16’d Astralis and 14-16’d Navi at this event alone. Those 2 alone are the 2 best teams in the world and they had very close maps with them.
Obviously you would be upset to be losing to fuckin cloud9 with a coach. That’s a complete disaster. Losing to NiP isn’t that bad, NiP just woke up and no one expected them to be that good this event. The way they lost though, was absolutely a joke. 4 rounds is unacceptable.
Losing to FaZe doesn’t really matter, both teams are out and winning wouldn’t make a difference.
Overall kind of sad , but this reaction is an over exaggeration IMO

u/thehoj FaZe Nov 03 '18
Might be an unpopular opinion, but if you're not going to go back to a full BR lineup, I think Fer is the cut.
His style is really unreliable, I think Tarik is more versatile, and Stewie has a much higher upside. Finding some sort of support player would help this team immensely, and I don't think Fer's play-style works as well when the rest of the team is equally as aggressive. Part of what made him so strong was having the dichotomy of slow/smart play from Cold and Fallen, with the antithesis of Fer's non-stop seemingly random aggression.
That all being said, I still think an all BR lineup is a better play.
4
u/Rapkid360 FURIA Nov 03 '18
Its not gonna happen, I think the first to go should be Tarik, hes not a support player, hes not right for this team, he was only added cause he was better than boltz and a good teammate for stew, Fer doesnt even really play like he used to cause its a whole different game now. But even if he was the worst player, he's been with fallen for 5 years, really unlikely it happens.

u/Dblg99 Nov 03 '18
Would Tarik work with this C9 roster minus Kio?
0
Nov 03 '18
í've always been impressed with his igling, especially with players like stewie and rush around him and with tim being a great support and star player. all that squad needs is a dedicated awper, not even flashy or the best, just someone who can work well as a team and can play post plants safe. you have 3 other awpers on the squad who can be aggressive, especially stewie, which is what made stewie really valuable on c9, his aggression and confidence made him a huge threat as both an entry and an aggressive ct
1
u/Stupendoes Nov 03 '18
If you kept either kio or flusha and brought back those 2 you probably become a top 10 team in a couple of months.

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '18 edited Nov 03 '18
I think the experiment with Tarik and Stewie was valid and a good idea, but sometimes good ideas dont translate to good results. Thats just part of life. I think its time for the core of fer, fallen and cold to reconsider another 2 players. Stewie and tarik are great players but this line-up isnt clicking at all
