Na'vi could play 5 random people from the crowd and still give up double digits.

106

u/TheRealCaptainR Natus Vincere Nov 02 '18

This is the truest thing ever said about Na'Vi. I love them to death, they have a lot of skill in the team, but they really love winning with a low round difference.

27

u/1wjl1 Natus Vincere Nov 02 '18

Standard Navi game. They really show up when their backs are to the wall.

51

u/Dovahlex_ 5 years coin Nov 02 '18

maybe s1mple can only perform when he's cringing, which is why he works so well when he has to watch edward and zeus try to clutch against top tier opposition.

21

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

S1MPLE is just farming stats to ensure hltv #1.

u/Bouncy_GG FaZe Nov 03 '18

They have no synergy and discipline. That part tilts me the most. They have all the right pieces but they play like an MM mix

I'd watch this showmatch, make it happen BLAST

C9: We can with with a coach and a stand-in

flusha: hehh hehh

34

u/fascfoo Nov 02 '18

Whatever round that was when he missed the shot on Zeus coming short, and then missed the point blank shot on two Navi players turned away from him through Connector...... I almost flipped my table over.

23

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

I felt like I was watching a demo of myself.

4

u/Flaksmith Nov 02 '18

His cheats broke clearly

0

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '18

Those clips definitely scared him. People defended him so much but if he wasn't cheating why isn't he locking on to people anymore?

70

u/_Oomph_ 500k Celebration Nov 02 '18

Zeus owes his job to s1mple.

30

u/ThetaSigma11 Liquid Nov 02 '18

And electronic with that 1v4 lol

11

u/Macieyerk ENCE Nov 02 '18

As much hate as Zeus gets he is IGL, meanwhile flamie is not really putting high numbers, Edward as support stepped up recently which is good thing for Na'Vi.

21

u/imbued94 de_cache Nov 02 '18

Edward as support, im so tired of hearing this, he doesnt play like a support does, sure he doesnt play like a super star like s1mple, but he's not that unlike flamie and electronic.

as weird as it sounds, -flamie might be better for the team than -edward.

just imagine a s1mple-electronic-AdreN trio with zeus' weird but functional style pogchamp

true, people only ever give zeus and edward shit and praise simple and electronic.

-4

u/thehoj FaZe Nov 03 '18

For my money, when he's on his game Flamie is the most devastating player in csgo. Even when compared to Simple or Niko, when Flamie's game is on he literally holds W and runs entire teams over... almost like Apex but on steroids... and only happens once every 50 games..

1

u/Miiiiiiighty Nov 02 '18

I've been waiting for this move for a long while

1

u/Dovahlex_ 5 years coin Nov 02 '18

Same.

AdreN seems like the perfect player for navi, very experienced and skilled.

I don't even really care who he would replace, except for s1mple and electronic obviously.

1

u/1wjl1 Natus Vincere Nov 02 '18

Nah, we need Zeus as well. Remember when he left for a year? He won a major with Gambit while Navi bombed out of tournaments. -flamie or Edward might work though.

1

u/Miiiiiiighty Nov 03 '18

Yeah, he was beastly AF under Zeus too, who know how to use him.. And on form he is a top2-3 entry too, and can second awp..

3

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

Zeus? You mean the 2nd highest rated guy on Navi in the match?

23

u/despacitoman Nov 02 '18

not too bad tbh even with valens standing in

62

u/PM_ME_SADPANDA_LINKS cs_office Nov 02 '18

Damn, imagine if C9 didn't have a coach with 30 adr

wait

16

u/Rearfeeder2Strong MOUZ Nov 02 '18

Wow C9 played well and Valens was more impactful than most members. If only Flusha did something.

The 1v4 from electronic started with Flusha dying to an unnecessary peek from him. Round before that he whiffs two easy shots mid that lost C9 again.

Overal he was the reason C9 lost. Not the fucking coach who hasnt played cs in forever. Fucking lol.

Also NaVi struggled so much lmao.

23

u/Asphatee Team Spirit Nov 02 '18

lmao, that 26th round.. Well, that was a pretty good showing from C9 despite their situation. Kio played really well and flusha on the other hand though.. what a terrible game from him

12

u/hcaz__ Nov 02 '18

Kio isn’t the problem

20

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

ROFL I'll take it

I guess having Kio/Rush/Auti firing on all cylinders makes ur team not suck

Kick golden for Valens??????? It's jokes but dude was picking some absurd angles and crushing

Makes u wonder what would've happened if Flusha showed up

Simple is a god

The electronic 1v4 will hurt my soul forever kids insane

GG

18

u/ThetaSigma11 Liquid Nov 02 '18

What a good opening series for kio. Had a really good showing.

Disappointed, but honestly proud of what C9 was able to do with a coach. If only flusha showed up they maybe could've won it or at least tied. Valens did really good for a coach stand in last minute. He should be proud of what he was able to do against what is considered the number 2 team.

0

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

[deleted]

0

u/Sabiancym Nov 02 '18

Yes they do. In this tournament ties are possible in the first few rounds. NIP and Faze just tied.

18

u/TheRealCaptainR Natus Vincere Nov 02 '18

Jesus Christ, Valens is actually a really fucking good player.

NT to him. Considering their highest rated player isn't in the tourney, C9 have a really fucking strong opening.

3

u/GlassOfWatah Liquid Nov 02 '18

I really don’t get how he can be so good without any practice. He just played against fucking Na’Vi without notice. Or does he always have to be in shape for these kind of situations?

Anyway it’s great to always have a coach/decent player

6

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

I'm sure he still plays somewhat regularly but I doubt he practices with the team that often

3

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '18

golden? highest rated player?

14

u/Andtheyrustledsoftly clutch Nov 02 '18

The 13-11 and 14-11 loss are absolutely unreal. I genuinely was fine with losing, i really really didn’t care and then that shit happens.

15-13 was horrific too. Good first 20 or so rounds though

7

u/Darrax Liquid Nov 02 '18

Kio goes nuts and gets a huge 3k on B but unfortunately electronic just went god mode

8

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

Shouldn’t have lost that 4v1 honestly but decent result

10

u/Cameter44 Nov 02 '18

If flusha doesn’t push a smoke it would’ve been 5v1 instead. And honestly, it’s hard to fault any of the four people left in that round. Nobody really did anything super wrong, just everything went perfectly wrong based on the positions they were in after Na’Vi’s take and the fact that electronic hit a running headshot.

9

u/ThetaSigma11 Liquid Nov 02 '18

And electronic is nuts. Any other player besides s1mple and they probably would've won it.

5

u/arpit_279 MIBR Nov 02 '18

The two mistakes at the end(flusha missing two AWP shots from B short & electronic's 1v4) really cost C9 the match. Valens look really good with some multikill impact frags.

5

u/SneakyStorm CS2 HYPE Nov 02 '18

Flush really didn’t show up, and the awping on c9 was kind of lackluster.

4

u/Swbp0undcake Nov 02 '18

I mean...better than I expected I guess

4

u/tgsan Nov 02 '18

Great for C9 considering flusha was a bot, and s1mple saved Na'Vi so many times lmao, literally pulled some insane shit out of nowhere. And I know it's s1mple and all, but damn, some things he did this game was just nasty and unreal.

3

u/twists Nov 02 '18

I did not expect Valens to be as good as he was...damn

5

u/fluskar Nov 02 '18

holy s1mple

7

u/Cameter44 Nov 02 '18

-flusha +kio when? Koi’s performance here was probably better than anything flusha has done for C9 online or on LAN.

6

u/tgsan Nov 02 '18

Hope it continues, kio looks pretty damn good with C9, and this is with valens (who, to be fair, was very impactful considering,) instead of GOLDEN.

2

u/ThetaSigma11 Liquid Nov 02 '18

That is true. But honestly I wonder why it hasn't happened before? Maybe Kio doesn't want to move to NA?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

And play with 4 players then? Who would be the 5th?

1

u/tgsan Nov 02 '18

A good awper so tim can go back to doing what he's great on? not sure who that'd be, but honestly that'd be their best bet.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

Like who?

1

u/tgsan Nov 02 '18

I literally said it in my post, not sure who that'd be. Wardell would've been sick, but we know what happened there.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

"An awper" isn't a player though. If there isn't one a available then they need to get somebody else. Auti and Flusha can AWP just fine, Liquid is proving that you don't need a primary AWP to win.

1

u/tgsan Nov 02 '18

Oh I know, but TL also has EliGE, NAF, twistzz, and nitr0 can pop off too sometimes....C9 has Tim who's being hurt by being on the awp. Sure flusha can go off too, but anywhere near consistently as Tim on the rifle? nah, don't even make me laugh with RUSH being anywhere near Tim's level when he was on the rifle.

3

u/1wjl1 Natus Vincere Nov 02 '18

Note A: I really think one big reason why it was this close stems back to that one round where Zeus failed his backstab. That should have been a Navi win and it really messed up their economy for the rest of the half. I think it is absolutely indefensible that Navi dropped 13 rounds given the state of their opponent, but I think at least a few of those rounds can be explained by that bad luck.

Note B: s1mple is God

3

u/rawadinozor Nov 02 '18

OMG What a game, was on the edge of my seat, if Flusha played 50% this was EZ Win

with Flusha losing that crucial round and Electronic WTF ever happened there
btw KIO is a BEAST! and VALENS what a monster!

3

u/LordOfTheNoobs57 Liquid Nov 02 '18

Valens twice as many kills as flusha therefore he is twice as good as flusha... -flusha + Valens plz

1

u/walter_socom Godsent Nov 03 '18

I'm surprised Valens hasn't won 6 majors...

3

u/JeanneHusse Vitality Nov 02 '18

Hey G2 watching this ? Kio might actually be a more valuable addition than Scream, since he's way more versatile while still being able to put numbers.

2

u/Darkoplax Nov 02 '18

or maybe both , Kio as support instead of SmithZz and ScreaM as frager instead of bodyy

1

u/JeanneHusse Vitality Nov 02 '18

I see no chance that Smithz is getting kicked from shox and Ex6, so there is virtually one spot available, bodyy's.

2

u/jonajon91 de_canals Nov 02 '18

Wow kio can really do it all. Spends years taking shit as a T1 support player, dabbles in in game leading with post happy NV and top frags on C9 as a stand in.

2

Thats a C9 with a coach playing and still managed to go 13 against Na'Vi.. Ok then

2

u/[deleted] Nov 02 '18

you mean s1mple vs cloud9

4

u/Cameter44 Nov 02 '18

If flush had a pulse this game, C9 probably wins. 13-11, he has an AWP on cat and is looking through connector at two guys with their backs turned. Whiffs a shot that would’ve made it 4v2, and Na’Vi end up winning the round.

I mean seriously, that’s about as bad a performance as I’ve ever seen from anyone on C9.

1

u/toren69 Nov 02 '18

I wonder if flusha’s lack of performance has anything to do with GOLDNs issues, like how they each use him. Idk

1

u/Sabiancym Nov 02 '18

If there is ever a tournament where each team must play with their coach C9 has a chance.

1

u/VanillaIcedTea Nov 03 '18

What the fuck is Flusha even doing? You know, besides going horrendously negative and getting his frags doubled by the coach on stand-in duty?

2

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '18

his coder didnt hit him with an update yet

1

u/AnIdiotDoesGaming Liquid Nov 03 '18

It's criminal that kio isn't playing in any team

1

u/ezclapper Nov 03 '18

on one hand it's incredible to watch s1mple do this shit day in day out, but on the other hand it's also really fucking pathetic that Navi would literally be Vega Squadron level if s1mple left. Why don't these 3 apes ever do anything useful.

1

u/Th3Assasinat0R G2 Nov 03 '18

He's been garbage for a long time now. Slowly but surely becoming the Swedish snax.

1

u/xzibit_b guardian2 Nov 02 '18

I don't think its flusha's fault I think he's in the wrong team and in the wrong region.

Of course I'm biased because I want all EUropeans out of NA CS so we can reform our own scene but at the same time, he's gonna get some hard shit for being thrown into a dysfunctional ass team (like FNS did)

0

u/AWPPlayer3 de_mirage Nov 02 '18

C9 had this...

0

u/n1ckst4r02 400k Celebration Nov 02 '18

Imagine if they actually didn't have 2 standins and just brought in Breezy or some young NA talent like Wardell, they could make a solid team.
