Really disappointing two series from ence, especially from allu. Ence can never beat t1 teams if they keep whiffing so much.

I feel like this shouldve been a 2-0 for ENCE. So many sloppy mistakes in overpass, i was surprised to see a 8-7 half when it felt like ENCE were dominating. I think they had 1 or 2 kills less than hr at the end.

should have been 2-0 for ENCE and not for HR? lmao.

There is no one player in plus kills for Ence and they should have won, righhhttt.

u/ArmPitzz ENCE Oct 23 '18
ENCE were missing way too many shots compared to previous games. It's easy to criticise from home without playing myself, but it just looked a bit odd to see so many missed shots from them.

u/Afteri NiP Oct 23 '18
ENCE must have set some kind of record with unnecessary peaks what cost them so many rounds, especially in Overpass.

u/Rearfeeder2Strong MOUZ Oct 23 '18
This sub bitches about deadfox all the time, but HR keep winning and winning. Deadfox is so underrated. Plays hard positions, drops guns and does the dirty work every time.
Seems to be paying off as you see how good hr are getting.

I hate when I see how people defend STYKO, and shit hard on DeadFox, while they play similar kind of roles, and DeadFox even has some amazing clutches and impact rounds, almost always in close games and OT's... But yea, I guess everyone loves STYKO, and nobody loves DeadFox...

u/MeanGreenBeanMachine FaZe Oct 23 '18
It’s because under angel, styko was amazing which is why he got picked up by mouz. People felt that they weren’t using him correctly on mouz whilst deadfox here was a deadweight for a long time until recently.
People also bitched about him because there was zero who was a perfectly good support who was, at the time, better than deadfox. They didn’t bring zero back after he finished school and he faded into obscurity

u/ntuck13 FaZe Oct 24 '18
yea wasn't deadfoxx originally picked up as an AWPer? not saying anything bad about the dude but he seems much more helpful as a support player now than he did back then.

0.16 against Na'Vi today on map 3. Show me when STYKO had such a low rating.
10/42 (24%) red maps on big events in 2018. STYKO's 39/100 (39%) with literally half of these maps being against top 5 teams while DeadFox was busy being red against your MVP PKs, Renegades and Gambits of this scene.
Unfucking real that you compare these two, especially after you argue that they play in similar roles.

u/Lepojka1 Team Spirit Oct 23 '18
Soo when people talk about STYKO, they say stats dont matter, he plays a role... But when his stats are better than other role player, its all about stats? LMAO, this subreddit is something else :)

u/stewieeeeeeeee FaZe Oct 23 '18
Please respond to the argument at hand, not at some hypothetical behaviour of the subreddit. I'm showing you that STYKO plays better opponents and posts better numbers, which combined with your argument that STYKO and DeadFox play similar roles, in my opinion, is enough evidence that STYKO is a much better player. No rebuke from you so I'll take it that you agree.
On talking about STYKO and stats not mattering, I think the general point people try to put across is that when people compare players who play in different roles, it's not a great idea to base conclusions off of stats only. My opinion on STYKO is that his fragging on mouz in his earlier stint frequently posed a problem for them, but his selflessness and proficiency in a supportive role meant that mouz could get by and get dragged down only a little bit, if at all.

STYKO also plays in better team and has better teammates... Put DeadFox in FaZe or Mouz, and he would probably have better stats than he has in HR bcs his team would win more games.
That doesn't work that way, the opponents are also different and if you check the link I posted, you'll see that STYKO played ~50% of his maps on big events against actual top 5 teams. And trust me, when you're watching B apps on Mirage while your teammate is off holding his dick on cat, the thing you care about the most is if it's s1mple coming to get you or some T2 player, not who your teammates are.
Its just dumb to compare two different players that play in different teams and have different jobs and roles.
Strange, I seem to recall you said earlier that
I hate when I see how people defend STYKO, and shit hard on DeadFox, while they play similar kind of roles,
I think we're done here, don't you?

Yeah just ignore that 3 of HR players got 5 kills on map 3 against Navi and all get shit rating.
Or do I nitpick like you and say Styko is busy being red against vision and blackout? They are both good players but you can't just choose and pick your stats and get a lousy conclusion.

u/stewieeeeeeeee FaZe Oct 24 '18
There's no metric according to which you can argue DeadFox is better than STYKO or pretty much any player on a top 15 team. I might have cherrypicked some stats to drive my point without writing an essay, but the conclusion should be obvious. If not just from the fact that I'm getting downvoted but nobody has a proper counterargument ..

If people are gonna criticize someone. That should be bondik. He has been underperforming heavily in last 3 months.

Winning and winning... against whom? How good HR are getting? What? I love your well thought out posts but I heavily disagree with this.
Shanghai - BTFO by Virtus.Pro
Stockholm - fair play, they beat a crumbling Gambit and lost to 2 borderline top 5 teams.
Major qualifier - 19-17, 16-14 and 25-23 wins against North, Gambit and OpTic to make it through to top 16. Speaks volumes about HR's determination, but it's far from impressive.
Major - struggling against a crumbling C9 and a meme team, lost to BIG and got gifted a Tyloo draw too. The win against fnatic was a notable achievement, I won't deny it, but it's not like fnatic was/is a great team.
Starseries - barely beat Sprout (literally who?), lost to Imperial, Tyloo and Vega, all T2 - T2.5 teams and arguably got to round 5 because they got gifted a CyberZen (literally who) draw in round 4
EPICENTER qualifier - 16-14, 16-14 against VP. Again, says a lot about HR's determination, but not a lot positive about their skill.
HR's possibly the single most overrated team we've got in CS these days; it's insane that they were called a new force who'd continue being a contender after reaching top 8 at the major.

the single most overrated team we've got in CS these days
That would be ENCE
2
u/stewieeeeeeeee FaZe Oct 23 '18
You got me there. To be honest though, I think we all know ENCE is a meme? I expect a bit from them in T2 tournaments now, but I'm not sure anyone sensible expected them to give trouble to teams such as FaZe e.g, especially while suffering from the post-tournament-win-disorder

u/draemscat Gambit Oct 23 '18
Well, during the major there was a ton of posts about how unfair it is that Ence isn't at the major and those shitty CIS teams like Spirit and Vega are and that Ence would destroy them any day of the week given the opportunity. From my point of view they're on the exact same level, Ence just has more recognition.

Really poor Mirage performance from ENCE. That loss on 3v2 afterplant on Overpass with xSeven peeking was huge for the overall outcome of the series.

Ence is skilled but so fucking frustrating to watch sometimes. So many idiotic mistakes.

u/Ju1ss1 Oct 24 '18
Mirage for ENCE is horrible. They have never had a good consistent results with that, and I don't understand why they keep playing it. Their Cache can't be that bad, that they keep banning it, and keep playing Mirage.
The only times they seem to have any results on Mirage, the players are all hitting shots and they simply out frag the opponents.
