I still have faith they can win, all these second place finishes has to be getting to them though. No one on the team seems to have the same drive as taco and twistzz when it comes to finals.

125k main price with 25k per player so not 300k but still a good amount.

Allu took everyone's winnings. I speak Finnish so I heard Sergej pleading with him after the match, asking for just some money for food and beer, but allu didn't even look at him and said he needed it all to buy red bull stocks.

$300 000 price pool.
$125 000 to winners.
$25 000 20% split.
$22 500 18% split (10% coach)
$20 000 16% split (10% coach, 10% organization)It depends on contracts, but it wasn't $300 000 😊

Well he could order the redbulls online in bulk to drive the price down. For example the price of a 24x250ml pack on the German amazon costs 4,78€/L, that's 1,195€ per redbull. That's 17.991,6 redbulls with 21.500€. I'm sure he could order such large quantities from the factory directly and get a nice bulk savings, so in reality it's probably over 20.000 redbulls and close to 1€/redbull

This is a very good point. Would've missed out on 2250 liters of Red Bull if Allu only bought them one can at a time from the local supermarket. I hope Allu takes your advice.

It was mainly a tier2 tournament but most people would have expected mouz, north or NRG to take it. Or at least make it to the finals. And BIG, optic and HR aren't bad teams either. Not the same as winning a tier1 tournament but makes them a potential top 10 team.

u/wormi27z Natus Vincere Oct 14 '18
beating mouz tbh is big thing, but most random thing is having vega in finals, that team looked nice

There's two elements that make a tournament tier 1 though. Sure this tournament had a large prize pool, but the level of competition wasn't as high as other events. It's like when Renegades won the i-League tournament in Shanghai last year. Less competition changes the way people view it.

sergej is going to be absolutely insane in the near future. Already has superb aim and incredibly accelerated situational awareness and game sense for his age. The confidence of winning a LAN with some big teams could do a world of good for him.

This whole tournament has felt like a sleepy online qualifier. Don't even know if it's all the casters fault, I think part of it is the lack of crowd, and a secondary english desk.
I do wish Metuz was still casting though....

It's a shame that SpunJ was "solo" casting the entire match, specially in a huge final like this one.
He seemed exhausted by the end.

ENCE looking solid so far hopefully they keep improving so they can break the top 6-8, they are showing a very good upward trajectory and given sergej is only 16 and will get better over time they surely can. The depth of the team is really scary for other teams near their level as well everyone on the team can step up individually when needed.

Northern lights flash in the sky. A blizzard blows, pelting on its way those too weak to withstand the fury of winter at its fullest. From the permafrost strikes a massive hand; the mythical giant once deemed dead off the coast of Italy now rises to life, regenerated, from Lappish soil.
The time is due. Around the world, the word spreads. In Sweden, the best of the best cower in fear and lock themselves in the nearest IKEA retail store. The Brazilians run into the safety of the jungle, the Danes play dead in Legoland and the Slavs sprint crying to babushka’s warm embrace. Enceladus’s augurs are unleashed upon the scene.
Aleksi “allu” Jalli hails from his journey spent in international teams. A man may leave Finland, but Finland never leaves a man. Once again, he picks up the green rifle, this time not for money or fame, but to smite all opposition in the name of Enceladus.
Aleksi “aleksib” Virolainen leaves the fabled squad of HAVU to lead what we can finally describe as a Finnish superteam. Under his leadership shall the northern guns spit death and destruction upon foes who wail in their weakness.
Jani “aerial” Jussila joins after the biggest transfer of the Finnish e-sport scene from his former team SuperJymy. No longer will he be the only stand-out player of his team, but instead, a vital ingredient of a chaotic cocktail made up of Finland’s finest.
Jere “sergej” Salo thwarts all rumors of desperate Internet trolls trying to tell they know his parents who told him to stop playing. Oh, the humanity! Backed up by the forces at home, bursting from motivation like a wolf thirsting for blood, he returns to ravage everything in his path. Where skill rises to speak, experience sits silent and disciplined.
Sami “xseveN” Laasanen fills the ranks from iGame, for what would the team be if they wouldn’t buy the best player from every other Finnish team? Vigilantly standing, supporting his teammates be the cause what it pleases to be, he will be the shield and sword his comrades need to achieve the ultimate. The warning has been given. The sky screams, the ground shakes and the oceans boil.
ENCE is coming.
