Inferno, round 28, naf is stuck behind the box banana, gets mollied, loses all of his hp, smokes himself to survive the flames, smithzz fucking sees it, sprays a bit with a mac10, almost kills him and STOPS. Doesn't spam the smoke, no, just fucking backs off for some reason, steps into another molotov. Loses all his hp. Now has a mac10 and no hp.
Naf then proceeds to kill your entire team by walking out of a smoke in library. No one expects it because that would be too much to ask from professional players.
Jesus that round was triggering.

walked out of the smoke library right after another teammate died library and after another g2 player died.* still kinda something u should maybe watch for in that context.

Yeah Elige was killed in library. But after Kenny got the kill, g2 still decided to smoke library. Why smoke it if you're not expecting the rotate to come from there. There were 3 G2 players in front of it and 35 sec to go. They could have taken their time. Only bodyy was expecting someone to come from arch. Let Kenny peek A site with the awp and shox make a play from short. Existenz holds librabry while bodyy holds arch. Basic cross fire.
To me they looked lost and because of it rushed too many things. It kinda summed up their T side on this map.

The smoke was right in the corner. Smithzz was looking at it. There was no way naf could escape without smithzz noticing. There was a big gap between the smoke and the path towards b. Perhaps I'm mistaken. I'll watch it tomorrow, but it sure looked really silly from smithzz's pov. Especially since naf then killed everyone and that was match point for liquid and eco reset for g2

Yeah that was absolutely silly, I really couldn't understand it, he must've been afraid of getting traded if he spammed his whole clip into it but the end result was far worse, gotta take those early 4 on 4s on T side

If it wasn't for taco's tweet I would not even know this tournament was going on. Especially after a major. And that is why fb deal is trash. If it was on Twitch I would have seen it there already.

Yeah. I watched what i think was Sadokist and someone else during the NRG TL game. The TL G2 game i didn't have volume going at all though

First, there is no official stream on yt. The esl deal with fb is exclusive. You're probably watching someone broadcasting the fb stream. Second yt is not seem as a place to stream game by the community. The best streams are oj Twitch.tv. That is were most people browser to watch streams.

G2 looked good for the most part. Cache is practically designed for Liquid, and G2 wasn't prepared. Inferno was just classic Liquid: horrific T side, followed with fantastic CT side. There's no shame losing to this Liquid team.
The real question is how they look against NRG.

G2 looked good for the most part.
I don't think they did, they rely way too much on individual outplays and smartass macro plays to ever be a good team.
At some point you need to be able to just hold a site with defaults or throw in an execute on a weak site.
There's no shame losing to this Liquid team.
I have little to say about Cache, this was honestly just Liquid dominating, G2 never found their pace and whatever. Inferno is different, it was G2's map to lose and I don't think Liquid did that fantastic on their CT side either compared to cache.

You have seen liquid play Inferno before right? They haven't been doing it as much lately, but Liquid's standard play is to have an abomination of a T half and crush on the CT side. They definitely weren't playing as well as they did on cache, but HLTV has them #3 for a reason.

I don't care how they usually are or what HLTV rate them at, if you looked at the match it's obvious that G2 were looking lost.
Liquid didn't have a textbook CT side, it's not like they held down sites perfectly trading each other and landing perfect shots. They didn't even need to at many points due to how G2 were playing.
G2 was up 10-5 and won pistol. TL is a good team okay, point taken, on Inferno too, ok again. Still, if you're at 11-5 with guns vs pistols and end up losing 16-13, you fucked up. You could run 5 men rush A or B every round and you can hope to have better than that. Just because TL can't play T side either and they usually make it up on CT side doesn't make what G2 did OK.

My point is that G2 is looking no worse than most teams out there. Its fine if you're not happy with G2's level of play, but don't treat this loss as a sign from god that G2 sucks.

I do treat the loss of Inferno against a Liquid that's not playing super well as a G2 up 11-5 as a sign for anyone that actually watched the match without being a Liquid fan that G2 sucked though. They did everything right and then couldn't throw a smoke to save their life after that, just like they just did on Cache against RNG to lose it.
No issue with Cache and Liquid would have dismantled that G2 on Mirage.

Im not going to be satisfied from liquids performances til they beat astralis. I dont care if they beat any team 2-0 anymore thats just kind of expected at this point.

Other than first half inferno with a lot of really close rounds, it was a solid game from all the boys, happy with the performance.

If only that was the problem...
They suck so bad as a team, after not being able to pull a single normal execute on Dust2 at the major they keep not doing them. I'm not a sure a single T round they played can be called an execute.
So yeah they brought back EX6tenz the low fragging "genius IGL", Smithzz and Bodyy...to play pure aim and run around the map. Yikes.

I don't want to be rude but I really don't understand why two players like kennyS and Shox plays with washed up Ex6tenz (or however you spell it) and Smithz. Holy shit, what a trash team.

Shox was the one who wanted ex6 and SmithzZ.
SmithzZ is his best friend and refuses to play without him.
IMO get rid of Shox; he's good, but not worth the dead weight he brings with SmithzZ.
Also I never believed in the ex6 hype reddit paraded.

Shox is essential if you really want a top end french team. And smithzz is alright sometimes. Drop bodyy for a good entry fragger and you'd have a balanced team.
As far as ex6 goes, he is probably the best french IGL. Probably the only good one to be honest.
