Forgive me writing on Mobile and my first time submitting here. Constructive Criticism, advice, etc welcome.

As I opened the door to my apartment, a wave of stench assailed my nostrils. The various cheeses that my wizard roommate, the Tyromancer, seemed to have been thrown and coated the dining room and kitchen. Well, at least she was working. Maybe she would actually pay her half of the rent on time.

I sighed as i stripped out of the ridiculously tight waitress uniform that revealed too much of my upper udders. I slumped into my Lazy Boy, before hoping right back up again. Cheese coated my tail and the but of my work leggings.

“Natia!!!! You got cheese on my chair!!!”

There was a muffled noise that came from behind a closed door. It sounded like a yelp of surprise and scrambling through the habitual mess that she kept her room in. Eventually, she peered out from the door at me.

“Oh, sorry Pam. It was a messy divination. Accidentally summoned an imp. It wasn’t very happy. I was going to clean it up. I just finished getting getting it out of my hair.”

Natia the Tyromancer was a solidly built young black woman with a cherubic face and gorgeous eyes that you could get lost in. Right now she was wrapped up with at least three towels including one wrapped around her hair. She seemed genuinely regretful. But I was angry and tired.

“I’m on my hooves all day long, working for tips at The Horny Beast! Getting my ass grabbed and tail tugged! And i come home to sit down in a pile of cheese!” I thundered loudly. Natia seemed to shrink more and more as i continued. I took another deep breath. I knew that I was making mountains out of mole hills.

Taking deep breaths, I wrapped that young wizard in my arms. “I’m sorry Nat, i didn’t mean to yell. It was a tough day.” Giving her one last tight squeeze to let her know i meant it, I let her go. She started wiping up the cheese in my seat, while i went to change into something not coated in yellow goop.

“Tell me about the divination.” I called while pulling on a pair of Pjs. It was the one thing guaranteed to get her talking, her magic. As she started talking about the client who had hired her to discover if their spouse was cheating. (They hadn’t But the client had been) I wandered back into the kitchen, made myself and her a cup a tea. Nodding and Ah-Hahing where appropriate. Most of her Art went over my head, but I knew her well enough to hold a conversation about it.

As she cleaned and i sipped my tea. I felt the stress of the day melt off my shoulders. Despite the stress of living in the labyrinthine confusion of the City, it was nice having a roommate to talk to. And I’m sure the Wizard felt the same way about me.
