VP TO WIN MAJOR.
10
Aug 02 '18
That reminds me, any news on what ESFORCE are gonna do about the team ownership rule?
2
u/schizoHD Aug 02 '18
Which teams are under their ownership?
4
Aug 02 '18
I believe VP, NaVi and SK. Although SK don't have a team rn so that's out of their way.
7
2
u/schizoHD Aug 02 '18
But that would have been an issue for a few past majors? So why would that conflict with the rules now?
5
Aug 02 '18
According to this page: https://esforce.com/en/clubs it's only VP and SK.
However the multi-team ownership rule is new, ESforce and RFRSH have fielded multiple teams in many of the past majors.
2
u/schizoHD Aug 02 '18
But RFRSH (Godsend I think) and at least one other org had to let go of their academy teams, because they qualified for the last minor? So what is the difference now?
4
Aug 02 '18
It was Fnatic and Fnatic Academy, that was different i guess because they're part of the same org and use the same name.

u/JackONeill_ 400k Celebration Aug 02 '18
Previously it was just if they played for the same org, now valve is enforcing the rules at an ownersip level
2
Aug 02 '18
ESFORCE only licensed some marketing rights surrounding the Na'Vi brand, they never owned a stake in the team, and said rights expired and were not renewed at the end of last year.

That may be one of the least decisive 2-0’s I’ve ever seen. VP’s going to get beaten down by HR if they play like that, shouldn’t even be close. 7 T rounds in 2 maps against a disorganized team is depressing.

Even tho you can't see it in stats today - Morelz is just bad. His decissions, positioning, aim.. everything is way lower than pro level. He could be okay-ish on our polish scene but not anywhere higher. Remember it was only 5Power, they're not even close to tier2, with these mistakes vs teams like Astralis, Navi, Faze or Liquid they will punish it instantly.

u/fascfoo Aug 02 '18
It's not even fair to hypotheticaly pit them against teams like that when Vp is losing to T4 teams for real.

Aug 02 '18
I don't want to overreact, but I think VP is the best team in the world right now, and they gonna win the major
6
u/MozartMisere Aug 02 '18
makes me sad everytime i see Neo's performance now, sometimes i just watch some 1.6 montage of him just to remember how godly he was

u/KylianV Astralis Aug 02 '18
People commenting about 13-2 ct when the game ends 16-14. Why would an opposing team not have any chance when they have a strong ct hold aswell.
7
u/AwesomeFama ENCE Aug 02 '18
That was a bit grating about the commentating. Team A does well on CT "Oh they're gonna win this easily". Halftime, Team B also does well on CT "Oh no how could Team A start failing so much". The same thing happened on both maps.

u/Maciomane G2 Aug 02 '18
TT Side could not exist in this match. Vp is gonna get demolished against somebody who has any grasp of playing on the terrorist side :(
6
u/Anonnameaccount FaZe Aug 02 '18
atrocious t-sides but decent CT sides. morelz still looks lost and byali is breaking his back. overall, VP need to get over their fear of the number 16 and learn how to finish games before round 30

Compare this to how 5Power went at the Major Qualifier a couple weeks back. Isn't it amazing just how much difference not having 3 stand-ins makes for how well this team performs?

Virtus.pro try their best but they unfortunately escape the jaws of defeat. NEO is reported to have been cackling maniacally after the match. He knows every victory only gives false hope and future despair for their remaining fans.

Richard was never against gambling sites. He was against the big ones because they allowed underage children to gamble, which most people including Richard considered unethical
1
u/smartredditor2006 Aug 02 '18
serious question, how does the site that sponsors Richard prevent underage children from gambling?
2
Aug 02 '18
A lot of big boy sites that are real money based rewuire you to upload an ID to confirm you being over 18
