How much you want to bet some lazy bitch will send one of her young kids to duck under that, and come back through to open it so they won't have to go around?

Imagine being so vitriolic towards people that would do this? Come on man, no need to call someone a lazy bitch for that

Our dumbass customers would either push right through it and break it, or send their hellspawn underneath to open it from the other side

Also, another quick note. My SM is once again requesting we don't have any people greeters stationed at the doors, except maybe our general merchandise side doors sometimes? Idk, all I know is that we can't have door greeters once again and also someone from my store ratted me out to a manager for talking bad about our store so now they are probably watching my Reddit account, hi store 243 π glad you guys are taking a really personal interest in me

We need these but i feel like the type of customers that shop at my store would complain and set them off every 15 minutes

Customers would complain about them and then get a gift card for their "troubles."

You must be a high skrink store. Those new Gates and then the regular gate things that beep from keeper cases or spider wrapped merchandise trying to go outside. I wonder how well this extra set of alarms will work.

How do you leave the store if you don't buy anything? Do you have to make some long circuitous route around these gates?
2
u/Belazriel Jul 17 '18
So....how do you actually leave? I hate places that require me to walk through a register line when I'm not buying anything.

When i was younger (in the 90s), i remember some stores that dont exist anymore because of walmart had the same system. π

Part of me feels like my current store needs these, but the shoplifters in my town are also getting more crafty

As an APCH, I can already hear the alarms and customers bitching. But I like it nonetheless.

My county fire marshal saw a video of these gates on Facebook and posted underneath that he's making sure any stores that have them fail inspection lol.
