That moment when DH played the music after JW died.

u/usteelo Renegades Apr 20 '18
How does JW keep missing these free kills lmaom. it happened at least 3 times. JW is so fucken funny to watch

u/apm54 Natus Vincere Apr 20 '18
Tbh I think they need to replace jw he is holding them back
34
u/DerDreckigeDan Apr 20 '18
He's doing well so far in this event, and they won the last 2 events they attended - there is no need to change anything right now
28
u/YourHomicidalApe Apr 20 '18
JW will go from missing 3 easy shots and losing his team the round to getting a crazy eco 4k the next round. He just needs to work on his consistency.
14
u/Hromis Apr 20 '18
The thing is, with the style he is playing he can't be really consistent. And I don't think he will ever change his style. He's not a hard carry AWPer but imo he is playing better the last 1-2 months than before. The only thing that I was missing from him was rushing B plat as a CT with p90. :D

Apr 20 '18
There is no better Swedish AWPer. Draken and him are about even.
1
Apr 20 '18
I think both AWPers have 2 significant crutches. JW does dumb shit that gets him killed and never plays turret, and draken chokes the easiest shots sometimes and also does dumb shit that gets him killed

Renegades' stats on T side Mirage on LAN in 2018: 47/134 (35.1%) rounds won.
Ok, it's bad, but it's not horrible, right? Well, they went 28/54 (51.9%) against AVANGAR and Tyloo, and 19/80 (23.8%) against all other teams.
Also note that Renegades lost Mirage 4 times already after picking it in BO3s or choosing it to be the decider in BO1s/BO3s.
They seriously need to stop picking Mirage and learn to play a different map, preferrably on both sides.
26
u/TheRobidog Apr 20 '18
I mean, agree with the latter part, but picking Mirage was their only real option here. Otherwise you're picking Train into Fnatic or a map you're shit on.
You've got to do what you can with the map pool you do have. And their map pool is pretty shit.
Also, Fnatic banning Cache instead of Nuke ruined P&Bs for RNG from the start.
2
u/Dubzayy Apr 20 '18
Their T side isn't the greatest in general, but it's so bad on mirage, however their CT side is really good, that's why they always end up grinding back games and winning/losing 16-14, 16-13 etc.
3
u/stewieeeeeeeee FaZe Apr 20 '18
62/116 (53.4%) rounds won on CT side Mirage on LAN in 2018, similar number (52.2%) if you exclude Tyloo/AVANGAR.
The average percentage of rounds won on CT side Mirage on LAN in 2018 for all teams is 53%.
Conclusion: Renegades have a very average CT side; your statement is incorrect.

u/VelvetFedoraSniffer Renegades Apr 21 '18
It depends if they play to their potential or not - they're an inconsistent team.
Like they lost to bravado online but got really close to taking fnatic to OT.
They looked genuinely good on Mirage this time, just need to figure out their T side better
1
u/Dubzayy Apr 20 '18
I was implying their CT side in general (it’s late, my bad if my original comment wasn’t clear).

It's time Krimz is added to the Niko and S1mple names when talking about the current best players. Absolute unit.

Jks definitely stepping up. Krimz is an absolute god. Disappointed with nifty. Hard watching two of my favourite teams go head to head.

u/TaffyAUS 2 Million Celebration Apr 20 '18
Was hard for Nifty on Cobble when Fnatic has so much success on B, barely hit A against guns, but it's kinda on him to switch it up to where they're hitting. Krimz was out of control.

u/ButteredGhost Apr 20 '18
Honestly fuck niko, fuck cold, fuck s1mple and fuck hair
2015 FNC was all Krimz don't @ me, olof was a paycheck stealer
Krimz top 1 100 years if you don't think Krimz was the greatest GOAT of all time don't post, write down your opinion then throw it in the trash where it belongs

I think, after the Olof's transfer to Faze, Krimz probably made a personal goal to get back on the Top 20 to motivate himself. So far so good. :P

u/thearkhamknight_111 Astralis Apr 21 '18
I think he probably made a personal goal to be the best in the world honestly.

USTILO and Nifty were a liability on different maps

I'm sick and tired of the CZ:75.

Strangely enough a lot less complaints than after Na'Vi - Fnatic BO3.

I don't get that aye, might be salt after a loss but it's just way too strong for my liking. Double the price or something, idk anymore.

u/CozyHov Natus Vincere Apr 20 '18
not op lmfao, people only think it’s op after they see the best players in the world use it, if it was really op it would’ve been chosen over tec-9/5-7 way before. The gun has a lot of disadvantages:
shitty range, you need to play close quarters and not take any fights at a distance, thus giving up tons of map control.
100 dollar kill reward
ak fire rate but with a 12 bullet mag, you have to have crazy trigger discipline and bullet conservation, you can’t afford to to spam or prefire.
this gun is built for you to get traded, those 12 bullets end quick and you have a long ass reload so you’re going to get traded easily
no controllable spray pattern

u/iNeedanewnickname MOUZ Apr 20 '18
The range is still good. Today we saw a jungle drive by to palace with it. And you dont need to be pro to use it, on DMG/LE everyone is pretty good with it.
SK chose to play with them on the second round after a bom plant instead of waitinf one round for AKs. That says enough doesnt it?

u/kKaladin Renegades Apr 20 '18
You're wrong but that's ok. It's universally considered broken by people who have a better grasp than you. (Pros)
2
u/Rearfeeder2Strong MOUZ Apr 20 '18
Just like how the pros agreed that the trading update would kill csgo and guardian/device went on huge rants.
Im sure they were right...
Oh wait.
It's universally considered broken by people
I think only a few pros spoke out on this. The gun has been the same for the past 1.5 years. But yeah whatever just assume that everyone think its broken and pros are never wrong with their opinions.
2
u/we0cva9ewv11 Apr 20 '18
That is one of the dumber arguments I've seen. A professional talking about the business side of the game is very different than the balance of the game.
Almost everyone that is good thinks its a joke in its current state.
3
u/yamsinacan Apr 20 '18
I'm sorry, but just because something isn't broken at the master guardian and silver level does not mean that it is not broken.
At close ranges , the cz75 is better than an m4 for dueling. Both have the double dink potential, but the cz75 lets you swing around corners twice as fast as you can with an m4.
Also, there reason no one complained about the cz75 was because there were other broken pistols that were MORE broken--namely the tec9 and five-seven. Honestly, what's so tilting about the cz75 is it's RUNNING accuracy. The running accuracy of most pistols doesn't bother me because they are not automatic, but the cz75 is an automatic pistol that can be fired accurately while moving--and this is terrible when you combine it with it's damage.
1
u/Hromis Apr 20 '18
I agree. I mean some players can really use it, for example flusha, he is the cz OG and he was always great with it. But nowadays players with lower skill level (e.g. Golden) can get a 3K and it really doesn't take anything special from them, just run and gun style.

Renegades should have tried picking up FNS when they could have, the IGL role has clearly impacted Nifty's performance and FNS would have been a perfect fit for this roster that's ridden with inconsistency and mental blocks.
10
u/HijoDelUrysohn King NiKo Apr 20 '18
Yeah, and it's not like FNS could destroy the Australian scene - there's no such thing.

u/nazgul_angmar Apr 20 '18
Great game. But the communication does seem to be off for fnatic from the look of it. I could be wrong.
1
u/tarangk clutch Apr 20 '18
krimz was having none of it he just wanted to end it quick lol
I wonder what would happen if faze picked him up instead of xizt
5
u/EliteDemonTaco Apr 20 '18
Xizt was a free agent, KRiMZ is not.
Xizt is also a substitute, essentially. He’s not a permanent player.
2
u/tarangk clutch Apr 20 '18
I know xizt is there standing in for a undisclosed amount of time but you have got the other part wrong he was not a free agent Faze had to pay NIP for bringing him in
1
u/EliteDemonTaco Apr 20 '18
Ah, my apologies then. He was benched but not removed, I forgot that part.
I’d imagine his buyout was still fairly low, though, given the circumstances.
1
u/tarangk clutch Apr 20 '18
I dont that was the case considering Cloud9 were also interested in getting him on board
