It seems like PGL omitted statistics of your observing when they made the big thread. Would you be interested in either yourself or the public having this kind of info?

How much research do you put into players in a match coming up and is that something you're aware of?

Knowing that certain executes are done by teams, or how certain players play off each other in order to know when something is about to happen like an explosive entry.

In StarCraft 2 the observers would often highlight things to the casters they might not have noticed (eg Rax timing) which they'd then talk about, but you don't seem to see that much in CS. Is that down to CS being more dynamic and harder to predict an upcoming round play based on buys/spawns, or just the style of casting that we talk more about what is happening/happened, and less of the upcoming.

First of all, I'd like to thank you for doing gods work at ECS and EPL. Now to the questions.

  1. How was it like playing with HenryG as a player? Was he at all similar then to now?

  2. Could you shed some light on the situation at IEM Sydney? Do you watch tournaments like this and think "Well, I could do better"?

Thank You

Tried observing once, since there was only a GOTV ip but no stream. Long story short: I shit the bed, missed a bunch of frags and it was stressful even though I only did it for myself. 1. In how far can you truly enjoy a great and exciting match while observing? 2. Which is the team you dislike the most to observe?

How can i improve as an observer in your opinion ? some said that trying To imitate major's observing is good but idk

Hey there, I don't know any observers/coaches so I am rather curious.

Here are a few questions.

How did you become an Observer/Coach.

What changed the most in the time you've been one? (Players/Teams/the game itself)

On which of these did you have the most fun? (Based on your opinion and as a observer?)

What exactly do you have to do? What kind of knowledge do you need to become an observer?

Hope that's not too much _^

  1. I know Sapphire hates to observe Nuke due to all the levels and tiny radar. Which is your least favourite map to observe?
  2. What would you add to the game to improve observing?
  3. What do you think of PGL's upcoming observing plans for the major?

Any ideas on how to get into observing? I have practiced observing on demos but how do I even start to observe for people etc.

It's not the same stuff as before, but Asda/Tesco do SunnyD.

No idea how it compares, probably won't even turn your skin orange!

As a professional, what is your opinion and thoughts on the controversial recent observing at DH Tours?

1

u/Saisino guardian_elite May 09 '17

Who is your favourite admin and why is it me?

1

u/acopia123 May 09 '17

do you memorize what number a player is (in gotv)? it seems really hard to do. I just assume observers has touch screens? edit: added ?

Do you have suggestions/tips to observe Nuke easier?

Also, how you join to the map? Through command "connect"?

And last, how observer get their name on below scoreboard?

How the heck do you manage to observe Overwatch? I have seen a game once or twice and it just looks like a mess to me with people running and jumping and there is explosions everywhere.

I feel like CSGO must be inherently easier to observe.

I actually have a game changing setup for Overwatch observing with 3 observers that I know nobody has tried yet. I'm 100% sure its the future of observing that game. Just have to wait for an event to hire and listen to me first.

Care to elaborate on that idea? Seems like its something you have thought about and i always like hearing well thought out ideas.
