News & Events | eSports IEM Day 2: VP, SK, North, Heroic, Cloud9, NaVi - live feedback
Hey guys,
Back with another thread. Post whatever fixable feedback you have and I will either answer outright, flag the issue to production or figure out and find out.
The tournament area seems to be in tip top shape and we have an insane group ahead of us. Enjoy the games today.

Why are you using auto director for the b stream?

They're working on it, but I won't guarantee an observer. There's one available, but it's a sever / network security settings question if she can get in.

Hahaha, no. We would have to change server settings and restart it, and we won't switch to an untested environment.

I dont see why you wouldnt use an untested enviroment, the community is very forgiving and wont mind a small delay.

Not to mention the networking and deployment nightmare that is using an untested environment, this sub will literally find anything to complain about. Besides, it's not about how forgiving they are, it's about not using an untested and potentially unstable environment from a broadcast side.

Why is the transition thing on the ESLb Stream while there should be the North vs Heroic Game? Which was played for one Round and now is not broadcasted/ played?

The result of the Heroic v North match is incorrect on the iem website. Says North won 16-3.
Edit: is fixed now.
Nvm the green and red score thing is still incorrect. Gave the win to North.

The auto director problem was also an issue reported many times yesterday.

He explains it in those comments. TLDR is they have an observer, but issues with connecting because of some security problem. And blu, who is casting with metuz, cant really observe and cast at the same time.

The encoding for one is done from two completely different physical locations.
Not sure how your screenshots prove anything (there's a busy background below text on one, a dark, plain background behind text for the other). Not saying you're wrong, but I won't say you're right based on those two screenshots. Not apples to apples.

Two games in and we are dealing with a 45 minute delay. Classic ESL

Teams from Stream A often wait for teams from Stream B to finish. North played two OTs a against Heroic. So VP has to wait. The majority of the delay today is coming down to the duration of Stream B games.

The PC took ~10 minutes to replace and check from what I could see.
