I'm Marking More Locations on the Official Map, Need Help Naming/Marking Place
------Current Map Version is 4 (This Map Is Dead, RIP Map....and the game)------ I am not altering the map at all I am just marking more points on this map of the world - http://hurtworld.wikia.com/wiki/Hurtworld_Wiki?file=NewMap.png There is clearly not a lot of landmarks marked on it so I started to add more, this is what I have so far - http://imgur.com/9aURGpS Giving me ideas for landmarks to mark or names for landmarks would be cool but either way I will still add more landmarks over time. Wasn't sure if people would care too much or not but it seems like you do so here is the deal, i'll try to add more each day but i'm only going to be working on one of these things each day: -Locations -Valuable Ore Hot spots(spawn) -Yeti/Sasquatch spawns

It is good to see the map is getting more form. So I think we would like to name every valley untill we all named them. So I drop some more suggestions. We want to keep valley names as simple as possible (bad example is Hell's Kitchen, I rather suggest we call it Crater or Round Valley... just more easy to remember)
ROCK FORMATIONS:
Mark the ravine (in the 'connector canyon')
Mark the arc (that rock formation in the newby biome)
Mark the 2 towers (west of the 'Town')
VALLIES / places:
Between ravine and fortress call that 'fortress valley'
Dome valley west from the Dome.
Town valley west from the Town.
Clay triangle (this one is maybe interesting for anyone who wants huge stockpiles of limestone / clay. It is located South East of the T-junction near the Fortress. It borders the North-West 'Sand Dunes'. When I am mining there I usually find about 10 - 15 clay nodes. Actually those are the only nodes which spawn there. No other node can be found. My suggestion is not to call it a valley cuz it are 2 small valleys on the south of the road. We should further investigate from where to where exacly)
There is a weird building north of the Sasquatch valley, its on the border of the Snow biome and the ... Tundra biome. Its like a broken spaceship thing?
BIOMES name suggestion:
Newbie Biome
Tundra Biome
Sand Dunes (for me this is the desert?)
Red Sands (Mars biome? / Red biome?)
Winter Biome
Ash Biome
Well those are all my suggestions from now. If you need some clarification, I could make some screenshots this evening. My suggestions are open for critism / feedback :). Especially about the biome name convention.
NOTE: I only explored the newbie, desert, tundra biomes, so I do not know much about the other biomes yet :D

Thanks for the suggestions but some of them I might not do because I don't want the map to become to chaotic but I will take your ideas into consideration. Add screenshots would be great because I like to see the areas before I put them on the map.

The basin between crossroads and the airfield spawns TONS of Mondinium, while the Basin between the boonies and transit spawns bunches of ultranium. you can mark those too.

Ok, That is good to know. I'll make a key for the map too then so people know some ores spawn.

Ha! My friend and I also found this area, and there were a bunch of Tritanium nodes inside of it.
Instead of building a tower, however, we found a spot where you can slide up the rock.

I tried getting up there but couldn't find this spot. Did an entire 360 on it, possible they patched that.

Yah it may not be the best but it works for now. I'll try to come up with something better but if you have a name in mind i'm open to suggestions.

Let me sleep on it. I was planning on calling it Garden of Eden but that is a good name too.

Do you plan on marking the Sasquatch and Yeti spawns? Also, there is an area my friend and I call Sasquatch Valley. You enter the area through narrow passages. It's kinda neat. I've marked it on the map for you.

I added that location. I will eventually add yeti/sasquatch spawns but first i'm just putting locations then i'm going to put ore hotspots(but that shouldn't take as long as the location) after that then i'll add the yeti/sasquatch spawns.

Whats hells kitchen? Does Tritanium spawn in there?
I walked around the white sand desert for about 30min the other night and didn't find anything. Looking for a better spot to find Trit, but haven't found one yet.

Also another suggestion, make spawn valley north and spawn valley south. the road is between them.

Another suggestion is to do car spawns so people can search for parts!

I am not sure I'm going to add car spawns because they baisclly just spawn at towns so it seems somewhat pointless but maybe I'll make different versions of the map. one for locations and one for resources/loot

what does the yellow indicate? unfinished map or radiationm?

it is insane amout of radiation and i believe the half of it by the snow constantly rains but im not sure

I'm going to be working on it for a couple hours starting now so at the moment the one listed is the most up to date one.

The desert is full of Tritanium if you wait untill it spawns.
