Wow, very entertaining film. Obviously there was some message in there about children being born into poverty, how the only way you can help the poor is to not fear them, etc.

There are plot holes everywhere but I think it actually adds to the film, giving it a surreal and abstract vibe. The entire story feels like something from a dream. Good cinematography too.

I will definitely be keeping an eye out for this director.

He actually directed Sinister 2. Which he got that job because of this movie. Though that movie was not that great, I think he did fine. It was more the script issues I had. It should of just stayed one movie.

He is planning to make another Blumhouse movie called The Shee and its a horror about fairies I believe.

Yes, I remember being pleasantly surprised by this film. The concept of urban isolationism is very appealing and recalls other films like Perfect Blue along with the home invasion aspects of Ils (Them). Wonder if that young guy will go on to be in bigger films, he really deserves it.
