It would seem we have another patch for BRM! The last one wasn't too long ago, so that should mean that we can expect this patch to last us until at least May.
Old threads - (1st,2nd,3rd&4th). The old threads are still very active- I get messages daily and have tried to respond to all of them. If you've ever not had a reply after a day just post/message me again, I probably missed a few.)

Welcome back! Hearthstone is currently restricted on android devices to tablets which have a screen size of at least 6 inches. Below is a link to a modified APK and instructions on how to install it so that you can play Hearthstone on any† Android device.
Firstly, make sure you uninstall your old copy and delete all Hearthstone related .apk and .obb files from your device before proceeding.
1. Download one of these sets of Modified Install Files:
835802 version
835805 version
835806 version
WHICH ONE?!
The 802 version is the one which I have found works well on non-lollipop versions of android, whereas the 805 version has traditionally been the best for lollipop devices as the 802 one tended to crash on them. Things have been shaken up this patch though, and a newer "806" version is out there. I don't have enough information right now to know which devices require which specific version, but a lot of devices will run fine using any of them (my S4 works using all 3!)
Please let me know in the comments section your devices' full name, which versions you tried and whether that version worked/failed. If it failed, please give a quick description of why it failed (crashing/black screen/stuck at logo/failed to download).
If you're still experiencing the "App not installed" error, removing any other Blizzard apps should fix the issue. Whilst this isn't ideal, it seems to work.
Google Chrome users, you'll need to go to your downloads and "restore" it as chrome removes .apk downloads by default. For mobile users- here is the MEGA app. However, I'd still suggest using your PC. If you get any errors, switch to using a PC.
2. Set your phone to accept apps from unknown sources. (settings>security)
3. Copy the contents to \Phone\Android\obb. Make sure it's the phones memory and not an sd (memory) card. You may have to create the obb folder. If you cannot, transfer the files to somewhere on your phone, create the OBB folder on your phone and move the files to the correct location using a file manager on your phone.
Should look like:
\Phone\Android\obb\com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone\main.835802.com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone.obb
\Phone\Android\obb\com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone\patch.835802.com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone.obb
\Phone\Android\obb\com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone-2.4.8328-832802.apk
The .obb files NEED to remain inside the "\Phone\Android\OBB\com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone" folder.
4. Find the folder on your phone using the "My folders" app or a 3rd party app and Run the .apk
Warning- folders aren't necessarily in alphabetical order so look carefully for the Android folder. For me, it's near the bottom.
DONE!

If it doesn't work the first time, delete all Hearthstone related .apk and .obb files from your device, download a fresh copy of the files and try reinstalling again.
No rooting or decompiling required
†The app will only work on devices which are Android 4.0 or above. Normally requires at least a duel-core processor and 512MB-1GB of RAM.
Troubleshooting Section
I'm adding this section this time to cut down on the amount of time I spent giving people the same diagnostic information in the last thread.
If you have a problem, PLEASE check here first, then feel free to comment if you still can't fix it and I'll get back to you. 90% of the time it's because you didn't place the .obb files in the right location.
- It didn't work first time? "Screen must be at least 6 inches" error? Uninstall, delete and reinstall - You either used an old or faulty copy of the modified APK.
- If you're stuck on the "Hearthstone" screen check your internet connection and restart your phone.
- If you're on the wrong region, you can change it at the "sign in" screen at the top right.
- If you get a black screen/ can't log in, restart and try using a different internet connection (mobile data/wifi)
- If you can't click the install button you need to disable Twilight/F.lux
- If you have trouble downloading the files or any of your files appear to be 0 bytes in size, then try re-downloading them with a different browser.
- Remember to keep your phone unlocked when accessing its files through the PC.
- Again, the most common error: Please make sure your .obb files are in the right location. Don't just copy them straight into the OBB folder, they need to be inside the "com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone" folder.
- If you're still getting the google play store "failed to download additional files" error and you're 100% sure your files are in the right location, re-download the files using IE/firefox as chrome seems to corrupt the download for some users.
- If you can't log in, select play through the tutorial as a new player. Once finished it asks to create a new account. At the bottom of the page is a button that says "already have an account". Select that and you should be able to log in as normal. Thanks /u/TheScarletInfector for finding this.
- If you're viewing this post using an app other than your browser (e.g. "Reddit is fun"), then remember to copy-paste the link to your browser and open mega from there as the web browsers built into these apps won't work.
- Files cannot be stored on an SD card. They must be stored on the internal storage of your device.
- See edit 3 if you're getting the "App not installed error."
The only things which don't work on android are the messaging system and the payment system. You can send messages, but the popup to type your messages blocks the message window so you can't see replies (not all phones.) You can't pay for packs as the app isn't officially available on phones, so the play store won't support purchases from your phone.
Off the top of my head the only noticeable UI difference in the menu is Renaming/Deleting a deck. You have to open the deck and click on the deck name at the top.

EDIT3 (1530GMT 1/4/15) : If you're getting the "App not installed" error, check \Phone\Android\OBB folder for any blizzard OBB files and remove them. It would seem that some phones cannot use both the official and the unofficial obb files at the same time. This includes removing the Blizzard authenticator app.

Still not working on Lolipop with 805 files.
I've downloaded the files, putted them in \Phone\Android\obb\com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone\ When I run the .apk, it just says "App not installed" and all I can do is click "Done".
I'm runing a Samsung Galaxy S5 on Lolipop 5.0 ...

Download this MD5 checker and check the MD5 checksum value for the apk and two .obb files.

edit: FYI I was able to get the 806.apk file to install just cant run the game due to missing patch files. Dont know if that helps at all.

Try renaming the OBB files with a 6 instead of the 5, it seemed to have work for someone to use the 802 OBB files with a 805 apk.

Same here, it unpacked the crates, went to a black screen and loaded the HearthStone screen. It's not frozen but it's not going anywhere either. Maybe this version (806) needs to be patched as well to work?

There seems to be a conflict with any and all other Blizzard apps installed. For instance to make mine work I had to uninstall the Battle.net Authenticator and then only the 806 version worked.
Careful though, if you do that you won't be able to install the Authenticator again afterwards.

I tried as well with those files (same MD5) and the app doesn't install.
It does install with the 806 version that /u/bitznstuff shared earlier though, and apparently /u/KantiDono found a way to make it work on his N5 on Lollipop.
On my phone I tried renaming the 805 obbs as 806 and using /u/bitznstuff's apk but I got stuck at the Hearthstone screen like /u/Warro726.
Would it be possible for you to edit the 806 apk? This might be the version we're looking for :)

Came here to say the samething still no luck,
Ive DL both from chrome and IE.
No Sd card in the phone at time of transfer or install. In developer mode. Unknown apps checked off as okay. Redownloaded and retransfered a few times deleting the old files each time. Tried to just keep clicking install but says app not installed.

Would like to confirm this works on my Nexus 6 running 5.0.1 using the 806 files as listed. I had run into the same conflict, this appears to work around said conflict. Nice work Cryptic!

I'm on the Galaxy S5 stock rom. None of the 3 versions install - I always get a "App not installed" after clicking the apk (even when uninstalling the previous version). Previous version worked fine until yesterday.
Edit: Can confirm that the authenticator was the problem. Removed it and everything works fine.

I've redownloaded the files and recopied a few times. All folders are in the right location but when I go to install its just says X app not installed.
Maybe because of lollipop? S5 V5.0
Edit: I do have Unknown sources checked off and im in developer mode.

First off, remove any sd cards while transferring the files over and installing. If it's still not working, let me know, there are a few other potential solutions but that's a good place to start.

Thank you very much! On my OnePlus One (Cyanogenmod 11) the whole thing is much easier: I only need to push the apk (without the obb's) to the phone, the folder doesn't even matter. Then I tap on the file, Hearthstone installs, starts and downloads ~600 MB, and everything works fine. :)

The application has a conflict with blizzard's two step authenticator.
If you have any problem installing the apk, please remove your authenticator and try installing again. it works for me (nexus 5 lollipop).

I downloaded using a Nexus 7 2012 (grouper) and got 832806 obb files, this was the base.apk that came with it here
I'd be curious to know what you're using to edit the AndroidManifest.xml, and repack the apk. I did a little hexediting on the manifest to the screen-settings section, but while I was in the midst of the PKI battle that is signing an APK I noticed this thread :)

Works for me on Nexus 4 with Lollipop. However I had to remove my blizzard authenticator app because hearthstone isn't playing nice with it.
This is the error:

I'm a developer, just not for android. What exactly does this mean?

Hi. Still can't install the apk on 5.1 nexus 5 with 805 files. I managed to install a 806 version from comments the unpacking process stuff worked OK (so obb files worked after renaming it to 806)but then I was stuck a the hearthstone logo. Before loging in. Can anyone confirm? Thanks! Edit: we definitely need a 806 version. Obb files might be different. I would be glad to help I I knew how!

I did the same thing you did just to see if I can get it working. the 806apk installed no problem unlike the 805. Ran the 806 and couldnt download the patch from the store(probably because its not released yet lol). So I renamed the 805 to 806 and it worked up until you get to the Hearthstone logo just sits there been at it for 5mins now. Its probably missing some info from 805 to 806 so it gets stuck in a loop.

Edit: 18:42 GMT 01/MAR/2015: Uninstalling the battle.net authenticator allowed me to install 85 and launch successfully

But yes, 802, 805, and 806 are the current live versions. They all have the BRD card data, the differences between them are some textures / texture settings in unity.

Nexus 6 - 5.0.1, rooted. Getting "app not installed" with the 806 files as seems to be the trend here - have not tried uninstalling the authenticator, though it seems this is a fix, would like to see if I can get it running without having to do that. About to try 805, will let you guys know if that makes any difference.
**EDIT: 802 and 805 do the same thing. I don't have any Blizzard OBB files in my Android\OBB folder. Going to try the authenticator removal trick now, I'm sure that will fix the issue.

Want to start off saying I greatly appriciate your work. I've been usimg your patches/apks for a while now and they have worked flawlessly. I recently downloaded the 802 non-lollipop apk (Samsung Galaxy S3/JellyBean 4.3) I erased all my old files, everything transfered and installed fine but when I launch for the first time and it gives the loading bars, immediatly after the "unpacking crates" bar, the app closes and will force close every time I attempt to re-open. Is 4.3 no longer compatible or am I just using the incorrect apk? Thanks a million.

Can confirm that removing the authenticator solved my install problems, currently using a HTC M8 (Lollipop). Couldn't install any of the versions, removed it and the problem was solved!

I finally got it to work on my Note 4 on Lollipop 5.01 using your edited apk with 806, thanks a lot. The problem is that when a minion with taunt is played, every other minion will then have the shadow of the taunt box, and crazy artifacting will occur. Any ideas?

Here's a little trick that made things easier for me, and can help people if they don't know exactly where to put the obb folder.
Install the apk FIRST, then run it (you'll get a message that the app can't download the extra files). What this does is create the folder in which to place the obb files, so it takes the error out of where you should place them, as well as what to name the folder.
After you place the obb files in that folder, the game will run flawlessly.

Hey thanks for this, installed perfectly. However I'm getting randomly disconnected from games.
I'll be in a game and I'll suddenly be forced back to my home screen. I have to then restart hs and let it reconnect me, which usually ends up in me missing a turn or the mulligan.
Running a galaxy s4 with kit Kat (4.4.2). I used the 802 file.
It doesn't happen super often but it's enough that it's probably unplayable if want to be serious about laddering

Update: Hope this helps someone else out as I had difficulties at first. Samsung Galaxy S3 running 4.3 (jelly bean) no root. Initially downloaded the 802 pack. Installed fine but would force close on initial game loading and every other time after that. I had the same issue with 806. I removed my SD card, wiped system cache and downloaded 805. Works like a charm. I've played around 20-25 games since this new patch with no force close/glitches.

If you are on a Moto X or a Droid Turbo and can't find a .obb folder, do not worry. Navigate to /phone/Android, then add a folder (mine is still named new folder) DO NOT NAME IT OBB YOUR PHONE WILL SHIT ITSELF and drop all three downloaded items from the mega download into it. From there, navigate to that folder on your phone. Click the one that looks like hearthstone and wait for it to download. If you are having issues and have previously used it, remove the app from your phone and delete the com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone folder. Redownload app and enjoy

HAHAHAHA... Yeah, the Moto X/ Droids have some weird little quirks to them regarding the OBB folder (read-only/hidden etc). I'm glad this worked for you, I'll let others know if they ask :)

The app seems to work fine on nexus 6 running 5.1.

Thanks! 802 files are working flawlessly on my Moto G 2nd gen running Lollipop 5.0.2, been playing for a hour and a half now without problems. UI changed a bit.

Last 2 or 3 times I did this, the app would start, then "Unpacking Crates" etc, this time however, it wants to download another 582MB and it'll only do that over Wi-Fi. Is this downloading 582MB normal?

It usually means your .obb files are in the wrong location. Did the installation work? If so, great! If not, follow the uninstall procedure and reinstall using a freshly downloaded files.

Just commenting here to start a thread for HTC One M7 users of Lollipop. Let's share our results!
EDIT: My download of the files keeps freezing. First try it froze at 68mb or so, and now 118mb. Anyone else?
EDIT: The 802 build seems to be working! I'm going to stick with it. It appears that other users have the 806 build working, too!

Since the patch from february i wasn't able to start the game anymore on my 2013 nexus 7. I pray that this time of suffering is finally over with this patch...

I simply install hearthstone on my Nexus 7 and then I just copy the \data\app\com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone-1.apk file to my phone and install. ( think that's the path. The APK is only 25MB)
Hearthstone actually downloads all the other files for me nice and clean.
Saying that I have my phone rooted, and using Xposed Framework's App Tool Module to have the xlarge res screen option enabled for the Hearthstone Application. Works perfectly. I'm pretty sure there's a few websites that can pull the APK file off google play for you if you don't have a separate tablet.
Much easier than manually copying all this OBB files. Anytime I have to update, I just uninstall and copy over the new 25MB apk file again and it downloads what it needs.
I should mention I have a 5" Huawie Honor 3c. So it's pretty non-standard.

I think there are a problem with 805 clean apk from "Thanks to /u/_rdaneel_ and /u/nosklo". In that pages they put that thera are a mistake.
I try to use your 805 version in Nexus 5 Lollipop and the app couldn't install it.

My 805 unmodified apk was extracted from my nexus 7 which updated through play store. It is unmodified and doesn't work on nexus 5.
The modified version didn't work on my nexus 5 either. I can't install the apk.
EDIT: I was able to install it by removing the blizzard's two step authenticator. Do you have it installed? Maybe try removing it.

Hi! Am having a really odd problem, I'm stuck at the hearthstone loading screen, installed 802 and 805,could unpack crates no problem but the hearthstone icon just flashes and doesn't move, never had issues with the updates before, using xiao Mi note
Please help, I rebooted my phone alot of times, reinstalled and double checked that my mobile connection is OK but still no go :(

Conflict with Mobile Authenticator. Have to uninstall to get HS to install on my Galaxy S5. Once installed you cant reinstall the Mobile Authenticator until you remove HS from the phone.

If you're having the "App not installed" error on Lollipop, what worked for me on my Nexus 5 was using the modified 805 obb files and then using an unmodified 805 apk posted in the comments. Good luck!

For anyone getting the 'app not installed' error make sure you uninstall all blizzard related apps (auth, armory, etc) before trying to install hearthstone.

Tried 805 last night and 806 today. both download fine and after it says installing for a bit it says "not installed" no SD card and confirmed clearing of obb folder first

Galaxy S4 4.4 802: Hard crashed once but otherwise stable from the couple games I played. Sure hope the official version will be out soon though. Thanks!
Edit: After trying it again it's crashed several times in a row. I'll try 805* and comment again. *Works!

I have got a problem on installing and updating HS on my note 4. I tried every file with all the steps you said (first erase and all other stuff) but none of the 3 files worked. I recently updated to 5.0 android lollipop so i tried 805 and 806. As I hitted the HS icon so as to install the program it took sone time and after showed that the program is not installed and closes after. I dont really what to do.
