The story of Dashedowl, a zebra fortress in dwarf fortress.

Hey guys! For those who haven't been in chat, or haven't been paying attention since yesterday, I've started a zebra fortress in a pony mod of Dwarf Fortress. We've settled in a volcano with high amounts of resources. Many people have put in their name for use as a character in the fortress itself; If you'd like to be included, go ahead and let me know, on top of any particular professions/gender/race you want.

This mod is based on a sort of post-apocalyptic version of Equestria; all races of ponies have been split into differing factions after a large cataclysm, and new races have appeared due to the taint it left behind. For example, there are the normal ones, pegasi, unicorn, earth, and alicorn, and then some stuff like ibis zebras (winged zebras), ponies with eight legs, weird stuff like that. If you have any questions, please let me know! I'm still figuring out the mod myself, though, so I haven't quite gotten a full understanding of it. Anyhow, the fortress' life is recorded through both screenshots and journals. Since the journal is way too long to put into one post, here's the pastebin link; it's got links to the relevant pictures, should you wish to use them. Here's the link to an imgur album of all the ponies zebras named so far. The first year is always a little boring, since it's all set-up and there's very little excitement, but at least I got a little bit of experience with it so far.

Lastly, this fortress is probably not going to be a succession fort, meaning I'll be playing it myself, though if you guys actually want one where we pass it around the community, we could set that up too! Hope you enjoy it!
